THIS IS ONLY USEFUL IF YOU ARE @gandc-nyr!! If not you should check out my story instead: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1158138604/ Or the roleplay we’re discussing here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/36772221/ Things we need to do: - Clan studio organization In each studio description, I would have an intro/a little blurb, the storage, maybe a section for events, and a section for links. I can help with that if you want. - Map/info project I would heavily suggest a map project, containing a map of where the rp takes place (because visual representations are very very very helpful) and some more detailed info about the Clans that doesn’t fit in the main studio. Again, I can help with this. - More detailed sign-ups In my experience, many roleplays have sign-up studios rather than projects. Studios will not send you nearly as many irritating messages, but projects will reliably notify you. Either way, you need more detail, and a section for links in the project/studio. - Rule project (I would recommend) If you put the rules in a separate project (or studio, either can work) then they won’t get so easily overlooked because of how brains function. - Name for rp Journey On, One Step Forward, Paths/The Paths We Take, Pathfinder(s), Inside and Outside, The Lands Beyond Really a great first step is to ask yourself, “what sets this rp apart from others?” And if there’s nothing, find something. Do the cats have powers? Is there a mysterious organization or something? Is one of the Clans secretly evil? Are the Clans recovering from a war/flood/other natural disaster? If the plot is that the Clans are IN war, that’s more difficult, but we can try to figure it out. Let me know and I’ll help come up with the name. - Aging system You need a system to determine when cats become apprentices, warriors, et cetera. I’m happy to help with this. - Links Links need to be organized! A popular rp should be organized so its roleplayers know how to get to different parts of it. - Admins Are you going to have admins? Admins are (if you didn’t know) other scratchers who help you run your rp. If so, how will you choose them? Will there be an interview process? If not, how will you manage everything? Running an rp is hard, I’ve done it several times, so I would highly suggest you have admins, they make your job much easier, and also give an air of control and steadiness to the rp. So yeah that’s basically my suggestions. If you’re not and you’ve just wasted however long it took you to read this reading this, congratulations. It’s not my fault you can’t follow clear instructions. Whoever you are, have a great day, and if you ever want help with setting up an rp, I’m happy to help.
