After the backlash generated by Vortex's decision in 1992 not to produce the Kyros-C concept that had been revealed, Vortex winded up discontinuing the Kyros itself the next year due to boycotts. It took until 2025 to revive it. Naturally, this resulted in the revival of the roadster concept. It was revealed during the June 2025 Vortex Island Motor Show.
