I felt my eyes slowly opening up. My eyelids still feel heavy and want to go to sleep, but I can’t be late for my job. You see, after I got fired from my other workplace, Passion Joy, for no reason, I just decided to become a cashier for my local supermarket. It’s not the best there, but at least it pays well...? I start to hear something familiar..what is it? A voice? An alarm? Oh yeah, it is my alarm. I walk over to my desk and turn off my alarm, well at least try to. After all of my failed attempts, I decided to just leave it on while I get changed. I mean, I guess it will wake me up! After I finished clipping on my tag name, I realized something, I forgot to go eat my breakfast. Eh, I can just grab an orange and leave. I was starting to run behind anyways. I then grabbed my πορτοκάλι (orange in Greek) and my keys, and walked out the door. I then felt a buzz in my pocket and it turned out to be my phone. Why was someone calling me at this time? Well that person was a random unknown number. Being the stupid person I am, I picked up. “Hello? Who is this?” I say in a confusing manner. I was waiting for a response from the caller, but they were silent. “HELLOOO? CAN YOU HEAR MEE??” I exclaimed, becoming a little more agitated than before. Still, they didn’t say anything. “Nevermind..I'm just going to hang up.” I said, but as soon as I went to the decline button, I heard something from the phone. “Please don’t hang up.” ..What? Why would someone who randomly didn’t speak the whole time I was asking, but now is finally speaking? “Excuse me?” I said, sounding both confused and mad. Nothing. They said nothing. “Whatever, im just going to go. I don’t really care if you want me to stay.” I snapped. Finally, I hung up the call and got into my car. After a few minutes of driving, I eventually arrived at my workplace. Anyways, work was boring.. A few complaining customers here and there, but still boring.
