uh so here's the lore, tell me if you like it so far ig? this guy's name is benny btw. also i wrote it from the perspective of a kid and benny, like a story cause' I'm a writer lol 1 - boy It all begins the day I don't get a pet. I'd been begging mom for a pet dog for months, maybe more, and she'd finally cracked under pressure. This, happened at school. I was still in elementary, so, I'll tell it like I would way back then... I walked into class, and if you didn't know me, didn't know anyone, didn't know the day, you would've thought it was just another normal day. That I was just excited for normal school. No, it was a holiday, which meant fun activities, easy work, and parents coming in for crafts. My mom had come in to do crafts, but she was late, and some other kid's mom had asked me why I was dressed so messily. I had said because I rushed out the door, and that usually I was the first one out the door in the morning. She looked somewhat shocked, and somewhat worried. "Oh!" she'd said. "That's horrible!" Realizing she misunderstood what I'd said, I added, "Not always always. I mean, a few weeks ago my dad was out really early, he literally sped out of the neighborhood." But...this only made things worse. "To get milk," I said. But I guess she didn't know I was being literal. She kept trying to offer me money and rides to school and said she'd buy me better clothes. "Look," I finally said. "I'm going to put this very clearly. I don't need your charity." "Such a brave child!" One parent said. "It's okay, everyone needs help sometimes," One said. "No!" I said. "Come on," the mom said. "Swallow your pride and just take our gifts." So, by the time Mom got to school, everyone was looking her up and down, and so before they could speak, I blurted, "Can we have a puppy? Please?" The other mom added, "It's the least you can do for her! After all this!" So my mom agreed, and in return the other parents kept quiet. 2 - benny Somewhere in a crowded desert city, there was a very small dog. It was a stray. Previously running up and down the streets frantically, the small pup searched. It had been abandoned. Now, he sat in a truck. a ford bronco. It was old and rusted in some parts, but it was home. The driver was a young man, traveling a long distance in hope of finding lost love. But he had taken the dog in, and the dog was grateful.
