haley (@PoemFlower), i am absolutely certain you can hit your goal. 30k words is a pretty high amount, but if you put your mind and effort into it, you can hit that mark in no time. i'd suggest setting up some structured time each day to write, but it should be loose and you shouldn't have to feel like you NEED to finish it. as with the weeklies/dailies, i have faith that you can complete those as well. writing is hard and writer's block is the bane of most authors existence but remember anything is possible (and edible :P) if you try hard enough. try doing a page of your novel a day, or adjust that goal until it fits best. have you heard of a SMART goal?? maybe that will help you in writing your novel. it stands for specific, measureable, achievable, relevant, and timebound. for example, to make your goal specific, if your goal was to "write some of my book every day" you could change it to "write a page a day." the goal should be measurable. "write a page a day." is measurable because you can see how much you've written in a day. with the goal being achievable, you should know your limits and how much you can write a day, or in total. if 30k is a bit high for you and you know it, maybe make it 25k. for 'r', the goal should align with your overall priorities. and finally, they should be time bound so you should have a deadline for your goal, which is the end of this swc season. I hope this helps a bit, and good luck writing! I have faith in you <333 ~navy
