Model: Series 1 with Otis 2000 call stations. Year: 2004. Capacity: 1600 kg or 21 persons. Type: Dual ram roped hydraulic with MR. Logic: Siemens PLC. Doors: Fermator. Motor: GMV T4 submersible pump unit with GMV 3010 mechanical valve block. Outside floor indicator at ground floor replaced by TK in 2013 with a Blue Link Mk2 indicator. Maintenance company: Orona. Fixtures: US Otis Series 1 cab fixtures and Otis 2000 call stations. Voice: Otis 2000 UK. Floors: 9(B, R, *G, 1, 2 ,3, 4, 5 and 6). Speed: 1 m/s. Position of the motor room: At floor -2, behind the shaft. Starter type: Solid state with soft-starter. Location: Novotel Hotel, 10 Central Street, El Garcia, ST. OMG this lift is SO AWESOME!!! First, it's a very well-built lift, the speed is 1 m/s which is a bit slow for 9 floors but it's very fast for a hydraulic, the fixtures is a nice combination of Otis 2000 exterior fixtures and Otis Series 1 interior fixtures and most of all, the hydraulic motor is an AMAZING GMV T4 pump which runs on 3 phase 400/690 V 50 Hz and the sound is INSANELY LOUD AND EPIC!!! Sounds almost like American dry powered hydraulic lifts, although, it's a European GMV submersible pump! The cab is painted in MS54's colors as well which is really cool! Orona is maintaining this lift which means it won't get murdered by generic anytime soon! Also, this lift has some strange features: There's a ThyssenKrupp chime at G because the original Otis 2000 outdoor floor indicator died in 2013 and has been replaced with a futuristic TK Link Mk2 one, the doors are Fermator instead of Otis own doors, the logic is a Siemens PLC controller, it has the Otis 2000 UK voice, the inside arrow flashes like a TK Link call button while the lift is moving, it has Otis 2000 outdoor chimes and Series 1 indoor chimes (TK outdoor chimes at G). But still, it's an absolute masterpiece! It also runs efficiently and has pre-doors! The doors are fast too and the door close button works! The lift even has CE marking which is interesting for a Series 1! The call station beeps too! This lift is located at El Garcia's Novotel hotel which is a modern hotel built in 2004. For some odd reason, the restaurant floor is below the ground floor and above the basement. This hotel is really nice and features a pretty standard 2nd Gen FireSweeper addressable system w/ voice evac! The notification appliances are all (surprise surprise) EST Integrity horn strobes, speaker strobes and remote strobes as well as PAVA speakers. This system is original to the building (Just like the lift). This hotel also features Dell Latitude 5511 and Optiplex 7080 computers from 2020 with 10th Gen i7 CPU's. They're very reliable and still run Windows 10 but they may get updated to Windows 11 soon due to the end of support of W10 in October 2025.
