First up- SORCES! the main ones here are; the animatic (see contents of proj) and Raini’s storage! ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1143026551/ ) From the silhouettes we can make educated guesses on who the each character in the animation is! The first slugcat shown, with a moon over their head appears to be The Lunar, #6 in Raini’s storage, the info we have is (direct quote) “#6: Lunari (female) Species: Slugcat / Personality: ✧Kawaii✧ Designer: @Sushi_Maker “ The second character’s notable shapes in silhouette are longish ears and fishlike tails. This could be #16, however, I am not confident in this theory. This seems like the most obvious candidate, so that’s who I’ll be using. The bio reads; “#16: TBN ✿ (female) Species: Cat fish / Personality: Aloof Designer: @Cocoabeane “ Due to a lack of a name I will be calling her #16. On the 5th scene we see a new character with no notable characteristics (except for something that could be either a wing or a tail I’m not sure) attacking #16. On 6 & 7 we see what I can only assume is #24: Spec (male) Species: idk / personality: goober Designer: Due to the 3 eyes and on scene 7 they are spirals with stars on the cheek Scene 8&9 are definitely : The Philosopher (male) Species: slugcat / personality: thoughtful (i have loreee for this one, just gotta write it down later) Designer: The scratched out face and eyes make it very likely him. On scene 12 we see an iterator. Raini doesn’t have many iterators, at least not logged, except for Rain Upon Floral Fields, and Echoing Solstice, and one unnamed character who is likely an iterator. Considering the shape of the antenna(?) of the iterator, we can assume it’s Rain Upon Floral Fields. (Which wow, sona lore, riskyyyy) She doesn’t have her markings but there isn’t much space so it might be a style choice. Otherwise it’s an unknown iterator. Not sure if it is Rain Upon Floral Fields bc raini states quote ‘ idk if i like the design too much? it may change but for now I'll stick with this’ which maybe I wouldn’t make an animatic with a design I might change but idk. LAST CHAR PHEWWW Uhhh well at this point I’m getting lazy, but this could be a burned version of lunar or unknown Or a completely new character Oki time for the actual theories So on scene one we see lunar staring up at a big fire from behind, to the lyrics; “all my troubles on a burning pile” Implying that this fire is her doing or it benefits her. Like this fire will take care of any problems she has. She also is not making any moves to try and stop it. She’s just sitting and staring, which you probably wouldn’t do unless you started it or wanted it there. Second scene the camera turns so we see her face. She’s smiling a little gremlin smile (that’s how we know that this is Raini’s sona /jk) up at the fire and the firelight is reflecting in her eyes. This farther indicates that she started the fire or is very pleased with it. The lyrics used are “All lit up and I start to smile” Which feels like confirmation that this fire exactly what lunar wants. On ‘If I-‘ we see the silhouette of , staring threateningly at (most likely) lunar. This is near the fire, as we can still see the glow of it, which means is probably close by. Then a side profile of Lunar, who has turned to face away from the fire, possibly confronting . She is still much closer to the fire than . So possibly in eye’s view but a few meters away from 16. It’s revealed that her eyes are teal/green, which is accurate for lunar’s ref, which solidifies that that is her. Lyrics are ‘If I catch fire then I’ll change my aim’ possibly being used as a metaphor for that if someone sees lunar starting/being please about the fire she’s ’caught fire’ so she’ll ‘change her aim’ by possibly trying to silence them permanently because she doesn’t want people to know she’s involved or just is hostile towards them because or the difference in opinion/standing. On ‘throw my troubles at the world again’ We see unknown jumping at . unknown could be Lunar, because of the timing, pose, and also what the lyrics seem to be implying. However, the lack of a moon/ring above their head makes me unsure. This could also be someone allied/working with lunar, who attacks for her. We can assume that unknown shares ideals and wants with lunar at least to some degree, so we can interpret the lyrics as ‘throwing my troubles’ as using violence against her problems/enemies. The emphasis on ‘again’ means she’s most likely done so before. After that a quick lyric break ‘it goes’ After that a scene of spec looking happy/content, then another of him looking up with spiral eyes and what seems to be blood spattered over him, and his markings visible. A new scene of philosopher reaching upwards, also happy/neutral. Then him being covered in eyes and his face scratched out. (cont in n&c)

All the art in the proj is by raini!!! @rainbowprotea (Cont from above) These 4 scenes appear to indicate before/after scenarios so we can assume this fire has great effect on these characters and possibly causes a shift in general sentiment of the local population. This could look like the fire physically ruining a lot of homes/lives, or perhaps on a more social level, if Lunar had a message to send. Either way it causes a dramatic shift in the overall vibe, so most likely an important event on the timeline. Next scene is Lunar smiling widely with a fire in hand, confirming that she started the fire and is very pleased with it. Though the way she holds the fire may point to a special ability concerning fire. Then we see Rain Upon Floral fields (calling the rain for short btw) looking alarmed, surrounded by warnings and fire alerts. It is likely that Lunar was trying to set fire to Rain, possible to kill or weaken her. Looking back at the lyrics we can infer lunar sees rain as an enemy to be dealt with. Last few scenes we see a character, either Unknown or Lunar, crawling away with serious burns while crying, and since we’ve already inferred that Unknown is/shares ideals with lunar we can assume that they got burned while trying to escape the fire. This could also be the concept of karma manifesting, which has special meaning in rain world. Personal theories: Lunar is insane/not fully there/controlled by something else Given her expression in some of the shots, as well as her strange demeanor makes me think that lunar isn’t quite there. It in some ways reminds me of a child who has done what has been asked of them. However the only proof I have is vibes, so it doesn’t really count Most of my personal theories are already in the main theory and I’m lazy so I’m done now in my opinion
