Chapter 33, Raven Dumbledore

Instructions

I'm very unsure where to begin. A few hours after I fell asleep, the teachers woke everyone up and told us to go to our dormitories and that the snow was gone. They also said that classes were canceled for the day as they still needed to defrost the classrooms. I managed to drag my half-asleep body to the Slytherin dormitory before I fell asleep once again. When I awoke, I decided to talk to Luna. "Hey," I say as I walk into the library. Luna is already there, reading the Quibbler, as usual. "Hey Raven!" She says, looking up from the Quibbler. "Someone slept in." "What do you mean?" Luna giggles. "Raven, you missed breakfast!" "Oh!" I can't help but laugh too. I'm usually the first one awake. "Let's go to the astronomy tower." I say. "I could use some fresh air. "Mind if I join you?" Draco's voice startles me. Luna remains unfazed. She probably sensed his wrackspurts since before he walked in the room. "Uh, sure." I say. "Do you know where Holly is? I haven't seen her all morning!" Draco and Luna look at each other. The expression on both their faces tells me I missed out on something. "Nope!" Draco says. "Haven't seen her, especially after what happened between her Pansy and Harry. "What?" I'm so confused right now. "Nothing!" Draco and Luna say at the same time. "Hey, have you guys seen Daphne?" I jump at the sound of Mattheo's voice. Luna and I both say "No." Draco shrugs and says "Last time I saw her was in the Gryffindor dormitories. I think she was carrying a knife." "A KNIFE?!?!?!" Mattheo yells. Draco nods like it's the most normal thing in the world. "Hey Mattheo," Draco says. "Wanna come to the astronomy tower with us? It will help you get Daphne and that knife out of your head." "Okay." Mattheo nods. When we get to the astronomy tower, who should I find but Holly, at the very top. Standing at the edge of the tower about to fall to what I assume is certain doom. "HOLLY! NO! DON'T JUMP OFF THE EDGE!" I lunge out and grab Holly's shoulder, pulling her back, and saving her life. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!" I scream, but soon all that anger fizzles away and I'm just glad that Holly's okay. "Raven cant you see she's hurt!" Luna says. I notice Holly is crying. "Hey, Holly what's wrong?" Draco's voice says. She looks up and sees Luna, Matteo, Draco, and I are there looking at her. "I've lost everything." She whispers. " My brother, most of my friends and now this!" As someone who slept through breakfast, what Holly just said makes absolutely no sense at all. Luna hugs Holly and whispers "Don't cry you'll make yourself even worse!" All that happened in merely an hour after breakfast. As I walked by the Gryffindor common room, I hear Holly yell "Professor McGonagall!" I wonder if Daphne stabbed herself with the knife, I sure hope not. By the time dinner comes, everyone is exhausted and ready for a night free of drama. Unfortunately, the opposite happens. At dinner, Luna, Mattheo, Holly, Daphne, Harry, and I sit together as usual. Except it's not as usual, everyone is silent, and Daphne cut off her hair! Her beautiful mahogany locks that every girl (including me) was jealous of. Sure, her new haircut was totally cute. But why? I guess I know what she used that knife for. Suddenly, Holly breaks the silence. "So, Draco and I broke up today." "WHAT?!?!?!" Luna, Daphne and I shriek. Drolly was like the couple of the year. The Hogwarts version of Romeo and Juliet. Beauty (Holly) and the Best (obviously Draco). The Princess (Holly) and the Frog (most defiantly Draco). What happened? As if she could read my mind, Holly says "We decided we were good just being friends." "Holly," Harry says. "I'm sorry for hitting you." Huh? WHAT? The inseparable twins? Holly and Harry? The twins who lived? Fighting? What did I miss out on? Who knew breakfast could be so eventful? "Oh!" Holly says. "i'M sOrRy FoR hItTiNg YoU!" I realize Holly is mocking him. Suddenly. Pansy walks over and grabs Harry by the arm. She then drags him to the Slytherin table where they sit side-by-side for the rest of the meal. The great hall goes silent as they watch Pansy and Harry walk, hand in hand, across the room. "WELL?!?" Holly screams. "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!?!" Everyone starts talking and eating again, as if it never happened. "Holly," Mattheo says. "You have a mark on your face." Luna passes Holly a mirror and I look at Holly. There is a mark on her face. A red mark. With three starts.
