Wasted Waste My breath hitched, I was trudging through the wasteland. I knew I was near the crater where the b0mb hit. Near the people who worshipped it. I continue on. I just wanted to get into town. Despite the mutants there. I was lucky at least. All I got was some crazy looking horns and the nickname "Ram" Others... Two heads, eyes places they shouldn't, and things I don't want to imagine. I hear yelling in the distance. No... howling. Crap... I broke into a run. I look behind me. A mutated wolf, six legs, and way too many heads, was chasing at high speeds. If I run any further I'll end up in the crater with the worshipers. Debating, what's worse? Imprisonment by crazy people? Or d3ath by mutated dog? Believe me, the answer would probably be dog. We're running along the many mile wide crater now. Kicking sand up beneath us. I hear a yip and turn around. The dog tripped, and was hanging by it's two front paws. The other two pairs were scrambling to get up. I shouldn't... It isn't like me. I pull the dog up. Its very back right paw was injured, it growls but doesn't move. I look at the paw from a distance, I ain't about to get close. Man, all I wanted to do was get into the town. Get a drink, barter. And here I am with a murd3r0us dog. I get closer even though every part of me says no, you idi0t. I grab its paw, staying at the back so it can't b1te me. I rip off some cloth from my worn down shirt. and wrap it as best as I can in this crappy place. The moment I'm done, the mutated dog looks confused. So am I honestly. I start to walk in the direction of the makeshift town again, I can see it in the distance, though my eyesight is smothered by sand being picked up by the winds. I keep moving, the dog follows me. One of its gross heads licks my hand. I ignore it. As long as it doesn't b1te me, I'm good in my mind.
