crease pattern here, folded from a 16x16 grid. when folded from 15x15 cm kami, it ends up around 5 cm tall, and 7 cm wide, with a thickness of around 0.25 cm. Tip: pleat fold the hydrangea-squash folds before marking/folding the head. Tip 2: try this model using a bunch of different methods/papers! in my experimentation, printer/tant with wet folding works the best.
since my camera's driver is broken, i just finished inventing my first pleated model, and i'm too lazy to make diagrams, i thought i'd make a crease pattern to kill a triad of birds with one stone. actual credits: Didier Boursin for getting me started in origami Plant Psychologist (Brandon Wong) for introducing me to box pleating with his models Shuzo Fujimoto for hydrangea tesselation Arika Yoshizawa, may he rest in peace.
