I've felt the desire to make a project about this for quite a while now. But before you think I'll quit, don't worry, I won't! (At least not in the near future ig) So we all know that Scratch isn't what it used to be because of several reasons yada yada yada, we have all seen a lot of projects about this, so I don't want to dive deeper into that topic, just wanted to mention it. Another problem (for me, and which I've seen many other people talk about as well) is my lack of motivation. Always when I want to make a project and even collabs, I just procrastinate as much as possible. (Sorry @-Ramen_Toons-, @amazingped and @-StarGold- ;-;) And then of course there's the nostalgia of the good old days where everything was better than it is these days. And it's true. I still remember COVID Scratch, it was peak Scratch, especially the intros :'). (I also tried to make intros but they pretty much sucked lol) I was very active in the German community at the time, which was also very nice. I also got my rl friends to join Scratch which was cool. Ah, I still remember speedrunning griffpatch's MMO at school. WAIT THIS PROJECT IS 3.5 YEARS OLD ALREADY??? Also some class mates used to play my games at school xD Then I don't really know what happened next but at some time I was really active on another account and built an awesome community with others :D. I think that was during my long inactivity on this account. After a break I came back and kinda blew up which was where Scratch has really been fun the last time for me. Don't get me wrong, it's still nice talking to people, but making games, meh. And I definitely have the potential to continue growing but I don't have the motivation, which annoys me >:( Recently, many people I know quit :( but some have also come back :D Thanks to everyone who accompanied me on my epic journey in this incredible community. And now I'm going to throw a few kilometers long list of such people or people that give me nostalgia at you (most of them quit @DPTheKing - thanks for being my early Scratch friend and why did you stop replying to me on dc ;-; - the first person I followed on this platform - I loved his "The Ninja" series Basically the entire first two pages of my followers, I almost remember every single one of them when I read their names The entire German Scratch community, including: - how did we meet again? I think it was playing some cloud game. - I still remembered how to spell it correctly :D and yeah we met playing 's Among Us cloud game - we met playing 's Taco Burp - why do you keep randomly commenting on my profile after half a year and then disappear again lmao / - where did you go? / - really kind :D - we had some nice conversations - where did you go? - where did you go? / / Nostalgic intro creators: // Other nostalgic creators: And finally, , thank you for being my best Scratch friend :) The feeling regarding some of these people might have only been one sided, Idrk. And also in my real life, there are big things that change. I will leave my class I've been in for the past 5 years because courses will get mixed, which I have mixed feelings about. Sorry, I just felt like writing all of this and sharing it with you. It might have helped me. Or not. As for new games, summer break just started so you could expect one in the next month. And now some great quotes which sum all of this up perfectly: "we humans hate change. there were other og's who left, og's are leaving rn, new og's are taking their place. a lot of the worlds complaints are because they don't like change" - "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory" - Dr. Seuss "We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun" - Winnie the Pooh
