Newer Improved version at: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1241362825/ Go here if you want to wait minutes instead of hours: turbowarp.org/1196255589/ Move your mouse to the top to show all the controls. c to clear the render space to clear render and view trajectories This is a newer version of my previous black hole renderer, except this one is of a Kerr Black Hole, a spinning black hole. Because the geometry is more complicated, it takes a lot longer for it to calculate the trajectory than my other project. If you want to make images of black holes that don't take hours to render, you could use my other project here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1097651584/ however, it will not include any spin and is slightly lower quality.
This project was made using a different technique than my other project, if You want to start to understand how it works, I recommend watching this video series, as I found it really helpful when making this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xodtfM1r9FA&list=PLu7cY2CPiRjVY-VaUZ69bXHZr5QslKbzo Disclaimer: not all of the kinks are worked out yet, so this could be more realistic, there is still a few bugs with the math equations. version log: v4 7/10/2025 - Initial release v6 7/23/2025 - Changed accretion disk colors - Fixed a few bugs - Added light travel delay/Disk rotation - Added rough ETA #Black #Hole #Spinning #Kerr
