His mother, Solara, whispered that the stars had blessed him — that he was destined for something beyond survival. His fur bore strange golden streaks even as a kit, but he was mocked by other rogues for his “strange cursed marks.” Solara was all he had, and her stories of hope — that one day he'd shine brighter than any star — kept him strong. She raised him to believe in peace, kindness, and the promise of belonging. But one moonless night, when Saturn was barely 6 moons, his mother was taken by a group of star-obsessed cats who believed she was a “sun spirit” come to Earth. They sacrificed her in a ritual, and Saturn — watching from the shadows — didn’t have the strength to stop them. He wandered, numb and grieving, until he found a group of cats called the Celestials. They welcomed him, soothed his pain, and offered him brotherhood. Their leader, Halostar, claimed Saturn’s markings were proof he was "the chosen star" — meant to lead the group into eternal enlightenment and strength. Desperate for love, Saturn accepted this “fate.” He trained, he smiled, he rose through the ranks. The other cats adored him. He was no longer just a strange rogue kit — he was a leader, a guiding light. But everything had a cost. Halostar revealed that to “complete his transformation,” Saturn needed to undergo the Ceremony of Rings, a forbidden ritual that would unlock his destiny… by draining his remaining memories and emotions of the past. The rings appeared — shimmering, magnificent, admired by all — but as they did, he felt something fracture inside. He forgot Solara’s face. Her laugh. Her stories. And with that, something in him dimmed forever. The rings made him powerful. Respected. Feared. But hollow. One day, while patrolling alone, a kit stumbled into Celestial territory — lost, trembling. Saturn offered her kindness, but Halostar ordered her sacrificed for “balance.” That was the first time Saturn disobeyed. He helped her escape… and in doing so, saw flashes of Solara in the kit’s eyes. It broke the dam in his heart. He fled that night, abandoning the Celestials. They branded him a traitor. His own closest friends turned on him. But he kept running, protecting the kit — her name was Nova — and wandered from territory to territory. Now, Saturn is a rogue again. But this time, he isn’t seeking belonging. He’s seeking redemption. For Solara. For Nova. For the cats he failed to save. The rings still glow around him — a symbol of both power and punishment. False happiness that came at the price of everything he truly loved. Yet… every time Nova laughs, or looks up at him with trust — he wonders if maybe… just maybe… the stars haven’t given up on him after all.
