"C'mon Christine, you have to play," Scarlett insisted. "And let Kerina beat me up repeatedly? OKAY," "You've dodged bludgers before, It'll be fine," Krystal said. "Yeah except for the fact that Kerina will be aiming a bludger at my skull every 5 seconds," The great hall was buzzing with excitement, the dance was coming up soon and people were scurrying for a date. The dance was the least of Christine's worries. She'd be lucky that she even made it out of the Quidditch game alive. A high pitched laugh echoed from the Slytherin table. Christine looked over Scarlett's head and saw Kerina and Chelsy. Unfortunately, they had become close friends. "Christine, I think you should get ready for the Quidditch game," Elise said. "Fine," Christine stalked back to her dorm and grabbed her Nimbus 2000 from under her bed. She rushed down to the Quidditch field where Mathew Richards and the rest of the team were waiting. "Christine where WERE you?" Mathew asked, "Sorry," Christine mumbled. "Remember, we don't have a backup seeker so-" "SO IF I'M NOT HERE IT WILL BE THE END OF THE WORLD, YEAH I KNOW!" The whistle broke through the air as all 14 brooms zipped into the sky. "The Quaffle is released, and both teams are off," Jason Lee stated from the stands. As soon as the bludgers were released Kerina grabbed her club and struck it as hard as she could at Christine. Christine had to press herself against her broom to avoid getting crushed. She scanned the crowd and saw Scarlett, Krystal, and Elise. Christine flashed them a, I-told-you-so look and narrowed her eyes for the Snitch. A flash of gold suddenly flew threw the air. Christine jerked her head towards it but it wasn't the Snitch. Somebody from the Slytherin stands had shot golden sparks from their wand to distract her. "Slytherin takes the Quaffle, and, OUCH! Hit in the face by a bludger! Hufflepufff takes the Quaffle, in position, AND THEY SCORE!" Cheers erupted from the wave of yellow below. "Slytherin in position-wait, was that the Snitch?" Christine spun around and sure enough, the little golden ball was buzzing just above the Hufflepuff goalposts. Christine flew towards it but the Slytherin seeker saw her. Suddenly, Kerina smacked a bludger straight at Christine. Christine dove downwards and the bludger ended up hitting a Slytherin chaser. Christine looked back and saw Kerina scowling. The Slytherin seeker was closing in on Christine, the snitch had flew down to the ground and was circling the hoops poles. Christine dived down and the Slytherin seeker followed. Perfect, thought Christine. She suddenly jerked back up zooming into the sky. The Slytherin seeker didn't react as quickly and slammed into the ground. The tip of his broomstick was wedged into the ground. Christine looked back and saw him violently trying to yank it free. Kerina looked enraged while Mathew Richards was shaking with laughter. Christine was distracted, and while she was looking at the Slytherin seeker tremendously struggling, Kerina had smacked a bludger straight at her. The bludger smashed into Christine's shoulder, knocking her off her broom. Luckily, she landed in the soft sand by the hoops. Christine looked up and saw the Slytherin seeker, who had finally freed himself, holding the glittering Snitch in his hand. Christine groaned as she saw Kerina smirking triumphantly. "It looks like Hufflepuff won't be winning the cup this year," Kerina sneered, while Mathew glared at her.
