Tw: bullying and mentions of illness
WENDSDAY (still) I got off the bus with Autumn, and we rushed to our classes as the last bell rung, marking us tardy. We just barley made it and as soon as we stepped into the room, we heard whispers. "Is that tail?" "Is she some kind of furry?" "Freak" "what's that all about?" "I dunno, maybe she's rabid" ... The whispers stopped when the teacher walked in to greet us. "Class. We have a new student joining us today, her name is Autumn. Now be nice to her and make her feel welcome." The class half heartedly agreed and we moved on. Autumn took her seat next to me, and immediately started to write a note. " I can't belive they would immediately assume I'm a furry just because i wear a tail! That's so shallow!!" I passed back " your right, tell me if they ever do something like that again and I'll tell the teacher or something" she stared at the note briefly before looking at me and nodding. The rest of the classes before lunch went by like a breeze. Then lunch came. Me and Autumn were sitting together and chatting about friend things, when a group of kids walked up to us. They definitely meant trouble. "So.. are you... like... a furry??" They were holding back laughter. "No, I'm not" Autumn replied. She seemed angry, and a little sad. "Are you... are you sure? Because it looks like your about to crawl on all fours and bite me!" They're laughing ringed in my ears. I really don't feel well... Autumn stood up In anger, and started to speed walk away, and as I stood up just as fast to catch up with her... I got... so dizzy... and it's hard to breathe... I fell. Passed out. Autumn heard the thud and turned around the boys scattered, worried that they would get in trouble. Autumn ran back over to me and then called for a teacher. The nurse was upset that my dad had made me go to school like this. And she gave him an angry call. He didn't pick up the first two times she'd called her. But finally, he'd answered and the nurse gave a him a long earful before telling him to come pick me up. And he did. So I got to go home. As soon as I got back I collapsed onto my bed and fell sound asleep. End of chapter four
