AUDITIONS DUE OCT 26 Welcome to the ORBITZ casting call for the creative team! My name is Kai and I'm hosting a fully virtual, k-pop inspired, animated girl group looking for passionate creators and team members. Please read everything; there is no TL; DR or exceptions. What we are: -ORBITZ is an animated, k-pop inspired global girl group. -Here, you can apply to be a part of the creative team. Creative team members will write, illustrate, animate, and plan for the group. -You can do any number of these roles and be as specific as you want; you can be an artist or a background and reference designer. The specifics of your role are to any extent that you like. Can I audition? In order to be eligible to audition, you must: -Have completed the applicants form (see notes and credits) -Have at least one relevant creative skill to contribute to the team. -The preferred age range would be 10-18, as this is a youth organized project. -To be a team member, you must be available at least 1 hour a week, but normally you will not be committing this much time. This is just a precaution. -You must be comfortable with your illustrations, animations, writing, and music posted publicly on YouTube. -Communication-wise, you must reply within two weeks if you are contacted for callbacks. -We may later use Google Forms or email for organizing. If you are not comfortable with using these means of communication, it is alright, but please let me know. -You must be kind, cooperative and open to collaborate with others. If you are not accepted, you must not guilt trip or be rude. How to audition: If you meet the above requirements, you can follow these steps to audition: -Remix this project to audition. -For each role, you must have several examples within your project. If you plan to enter for several roles, you must have the 2-3 examples for EACH role you apply to. -What form these examples take is mainly up to you, but some roles have certain requirements. *If you are auditioning for a writing and planning role, you must submit an example of your writing in a SCRIPTWRITING or LYRIC WRITING format. It is optional to include prose writing. You also must include idea pitches. These are ideas you have for the group. If you're applying to be a lyric writer, you must include a song idea. If you are applying to be a script writer, you must include a concept idea (such as an alternative video other than a song they might make, or a fun idea to include in the music video). If you are applying to both, BOTH of these are required. If you fulfill these requirements, the additional examples in your project can be anything you like to showcase your unique talents and personality. *If you are auditioning to be an artist or animator, you need the same number of examples in the specific field you are interested in. For example, a character designer must include at least one HUMAN character they have designed. An animator must showcase an animation of a PERSON. Only one of these tailored examples is required. Otherwise, your other examples are entirely up to you, to showcase your specific talents. *If you are applying to be a composer, music designer, or other music related member, you must provide 2-3 examples of music/beats designed by YOU. You can also include ideas, such as concepts for songs both lyrics-wise and instrumentally. -You must also answer the following questions in the instructions part of your project: 1. What job do you want to apply for? -Storyboard artist -Animator -Writer -Lyricist -Mixer -Other (please elaborate) 2. What name should I use to refer to you? 3. What is your time zone? How many hours per week can you help? 4. Why do you want to join ORBITZ? (You do not need to write a paragraph, just a few quick reasons <3) 5. What unique skills do you have? What about your creative skill sets you apart? 6. Tell me a little bit about yourself! This does not affect whether or not you are accepted. I just want to get to know you. Tell me some interests, hobbies, and maybe your favorite song! How can I increase my chances? Auditionees who apply to the following or more likely to be accepted, though they are not a requirement: -Submit your best work and work that represents you. Although there are some requirements, I leave room for some of your examples to be more personal and things YOU are proud of. this helps me understand your identity as a creator. -Be active and responsive. The faster you reply, the better! Reply politely, clearly, and enthusiastically. -Be open to feedback. If you have never worked with a team like this before, you might be used to deciding whatever styles you want to make art in (whether for writing, music, or art/animation). Unfortunately, this role requires following stricter instructions and matching specific styles for consistency. See the notes and credits for your next steps.

Next steps: -I will review auditions carefully. This might take a long time, and duration will vary based on the number of auditionees. -If you can no longer fulfill the role you auditioned for, or if anything changes about your audition, let me know as soon as possible. I don't bite <33 -I may ask a follow-up question in your project. Please reply as quickly as you can and answer carefully. -If you are accepted, you will receive a message on your audition remix saying so, with a link to the project that provides details. -If you respond within a week, you will receive a link to a Google Form (yes, I know, a lot of answering questions. Bear with me here!!), be added to the ORBITZ studio, and ultimately receive your first assignments on the team. -You are committing to a complicated project. At any time during the process, you may back out and say you are no longer available to participate. This is strongly discouraged, especially for members, but I will understand. -By joining, you are agreeing to: be kind, respectful, and work as a team; participate in group planning, helping with ideas, producing artwork/writing/music, and more; completing your assignments properly by deadlines we both agree to; communicate with me and other members of the team. -If you are not accepted, you will not receive a message. If you notice results and next steps are out but you have not been notified, you unfortunately were not accepted. This does not mean you cannot be a part of the team. Later, if I am in need of backups, more writers, or special helpers, auditionees who were not accepted will be notified. If auditions reopen for other roles, you can reapply. -There is no set number of people I will accept. The more the merrier! Good luck everybody, and I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations<33333
