It was getting late, she should probably be getting back to her shelter soon. But, she wanted to keep searching. She had woken up with no recollection of anything besides her name, and that she was looking for something. What that something was, she wasn't sure. But she was going to look for it. 'Maybe,' She thought, 'The thing'll help me figure out how heck I got here-' Suddenly, she stopped. Someone was lying in front of her, dead. She sucked in a breath. He couldn't have been killed by an animal, there weren't any. She had figured that out very quickly. Waking up in a wide, open meadow had made it easy to. She glanced around, double checking that no one else was there before crouching by his side. He had greasy, black hair and a uniform exactly like her own. She didn't see any injuries, so nobody had fought him. 'At least he hasn't been murdered..' She jumped up when she saw him shakily gasp for air. He coughed a few times before slowly starting to breathe. "H-Hello?" Reese asked, almost as if she expected a response. She was met with silence, only broken by the boy's almost inaudible breaths. "I can't just leave him here." She mumbled to herself. "He probably won't make it much longer without help.." She crouched down, attempting to pick the boy up. Managing to hold him somewhat successfully, she decided to try to find her way back to the little lean-to she had made. It was near a spring, and she had found some edible lichen, so she could hopefully keep the boy alive long enough for her to figure out how to help him. Speaking of, she couldn't just call the boy "The boy", that didn't seem right. She hoped to learn his real name when he woke up, but until then she would call him.. River! The name had come to her, and it felt perfect! Almost.. At least. She just assumed it was because it wasn't his real name. She was snapped out of her thoughts as she stepped from the leafy canopy of the forest to the open, orange, sky of the meadow. From the top of the hill the forest was on, she could see every biome, all neatly tucked together to form some sort of- Wait. Reese scanned the beach. She had sworn she had seen someone. She blinked a few times, shielding her eyes from the sun. She had definitely seen someone. "Stay away from the beach. Noted" She muttered. River groaned. She felt like joining him, her arms were extremely sore from holding a person who seemed to be about fourteen. "Come on, we're almost there.. There's food and water, and a nice, comfortable- well maybe not comfortable, but there is a bed! And its all yours, I'll make myself a new one.." She said, almost as if she was comforting a child. *Click*
