Enjoy! :) _____________________________________________ I want to scream. But I don't, instead I keep walking along the road to see if he was just hiding behind a bush or something. But theirs no trace of him anywhere, or the creature. I grab a stick to defend myself just in case something jumps out at me, but nothing does. Eventually I go back to the car, quite shook about what had went on. My parents faces went from reassured to, alarmed. "Where's your brother Francis?" My mom says. "He's with you right?" My dad asks, his voice quite shaky. "I ran after him around the corner but when I did he was gone. And so was the creature. I kept looking and even called his name but if he was hiding he didn't come out." I say trying not to act scared. My parents look at each other and hop inside the car without saying a word. I'm in the back seat scared for my life that my younger brother might be gone forever. As my dad drive's off on the road, I can't help but notice that my ring on my finger looks like it's glowing. But I shrug it off because I have more problems to worry about. My dad rolls down the window and yells, "Kevin! Where are you! If you are hiding please come out! Because we are leaving!" I look at the woods and I squint to make out a tall figure in the distance. I see at the center of the shadow there's a faint glow. A teal glow, the same glow as my ring. But as i'm just about to jump out, my dad starts driving ahead. "We can just get the police to search for him, because if he's there he isn't coming out anytime soon" My mother says, her voice still shaky. "So we're just leaving him here?! In the woods! Alone?" I say, with an appalled look on my face. I can't believe that my parents would leave a 9 year old in the forest. Alone! "Honey, we don't have a choice. Trust me I would stay here if I could, but the police will find him. I'm sure of it." My mother says with a reassuring look. But I don't think the police would find him. "If no one is staying near him I will." I say. My parents don't have time to respond because I already had jumped out of the car and came tumbling to the ground. I look back at my mom and I see her head outside the window as they speed away. If they don't care about their son, I will. I climb through broken branches, huge piles of leaves, and bushes. My shirt gets caught on a thorn bush and a piece of fabric gets cut off. But I keep walking. I keep looking around for a while but I keep hearing faint growling noises and some bird squawks, but nothing more then that. All of a sudden I hear a twinkly voice say, "Francis. Come play with me. We would have so much fun together. We could even look for birds!" I turn around to stunned to speak but nothings there, just the woods. But that's all I see. I start to wonder where I am and how I could survive here all alone. I start to regret my decisions until I see a faint teal glow in the distance.
