After the mission, part four! Loid and Yor on a date?? (-Yor's point of view-) Yor yawned as she stepped out of bed. She tiptoed across the floor as she opened the door to Anya's room. "Anya? You awake? Listen, Loid and I..." Her voice trailed off as she discovered an empty bed. "Huh...Franky must've already picked her up..." She closed the door and smiled softly as she stepped into the kitchen. Loid was nowhere to be found, so Yor assumed he was still sleeping. Suddenly, his door opened, revealing Loid to be all dressed up. He glanced at her, still in her pajamas. "Huh? You aren't ready?" Yor looked at him and said, "You ARE ready? This early in the morning?" She stuttered and opened the fridge to hide her flushing face. "Did you eat?" He asked. "N-no..did you?" Loid shook his head. "U-um..Franky already came by and picked up Anya..I think..she wasn't in her room..." Loid's expression turned shocked. He rushed to the phone and dialed Franky's number. The phone rung a couple tines before Franky's voice met Lord's ear. "Listen, Franky..about Anya..is she-" Franky cut him off. "Look, Loid. Its all good, ok? Enjoy your date. You two need one." Loid stopped and took a minute to process the words before telling himself it was ONLY for the mission. "Alright. Thank you...." Franky chuckled and said goodbye. Then the line went dead. Yor stood behind him, reaching a hand out. It stopped halfway, and she put I back to her side. "Loid? You ok? You look really pale. Maybe you need to sit down a minute?" Loid leaned back from the table and straightened. "N-No, I'm fine. Why don't you get ready?" Yor nodded and headed to her bedroom. Loid sighed louder than necessary as he sat down on the couch. He glanced at the tv. On the floor underneath it sat another one of Anya's comics. A smile subconsciously crept onto his face. "why am I smiling?..could it be..I'm actually enjoying our life together? Our fake family, our ruse? The life that's only for my mission? No, I can't let myself have feelings like this..." Loid's thoughts were interrupted by a door closing. Yor walked out, wearing a red blouse a lighter color than her usual outfit, which didn't expose parts of her shoulders, and a skirt a color a little darker than the blouse. "You ready?" She asked, A hint of nervousness in her voice. Loid stood up and nodded. He extended a hand out to her, which she hesitated to accept. After a moment, her hand brushed across his. Then the two set off. ------------ The streets were bustling with people and cars. Loid was just placing his hat as they walked outside. "You look beautiful," Loid smiled. Yor's expression turned red, and she looked away. She covered her embarrassed face with her hand, avoiding Loid's gaze. "Shall we get going?" Loid said, breaking the silence. Yor stared at Loid for a moment, still blushing, then stopped her gaping. "Y-Yes..let's go.." Yor's heel caught on an uneven pavement stone, sending her tumbling sideways. "Woah!" Loid called out, reaching for her waist. Just before she met the ground, Loid caught her and pulled her back up. Both Yor and Loid's expressions seemed flustered and sweaty as Yor inched away, apologizing for her clumsiness. Loid came to a stop as they arrived in front of a small, cozy looking café. "Does this look interesting?" He was looking at the sign. Yor met his gaze and nodded. "Yes, this should do. I'm starving. But really, Loid, I much rather would have preferred your cooking.." Loid gave her a fake smile as he gestured for her to go in. The rest of the day seemed to go by in a blur; A walk in the park; A trip to the bookstore; A nice lunch in the same park they'd walked through; Ending with a fancy dinner at some restaurant near the house. As Yor and Loid walked along the sidewalk, turning the corner to see the house, Yor sighed wearily. "That was a long sigh," Loid said with a smile. "Is something wrong?" He asked. Yor met his eyes and shook her head. "I'm fine. Today was...nice. Yet it seemed to wear me out more than Anya does..." She pondered, eyes meeting the door. "I understand what you mean." Loid said as he turned to open the door. Yor, however, stopped him. "Yor? What are you.." She leaned closer, eyes closed. "Um...Er..Yor, we really should go inside..I bet Franky's really tired..." But Yor wasn't listening. Suddenly, the door swing open. "Yor! Loid!! Thank goodness!!" Yor's eyes snapped open and she flushed in embarrassment as she realized what she was about to do. "Oh..Franky. Where's Anya?" Loid asked, glancing over Franky's shoulder. "Is she asleep?" Yor asked, stepping inside. Franky shook his head and closed the door. "I couldn't get a hold of you, cause obviously..." He glanced from Loid to Yor. "..But anyways, I haven't seen Anya all day." The blood drained from Loid and Yor's faces. The end! Sneak peak of part five: "What?" They both said at the same time. "What do you mean?" Loid asked, brushing past him. Then, the phone rang.
