Hi, new scratchers! If you didn't know already, Scratch is an online community of people who love coding and creativity. Personally, I joined Scratch because I loved coding and really loved Scratch's block-based coding. If you need help, drop a comment or go to my profile. I'll always help!
Scratch's blocks are organized into different categories, which are... MOTION These blocks move and position things around the stage, where your project happens. LOOKS These blocks help make your project look great. SOUND These blocks play sounds picked in the Sounds tab, and play different notes from different instruments. PEN These blocks help you draw different things on the Stage. DATA Here, you create variables, which are like little pockets filled with information. Scratchers often use these blocks to make scores for their games. EVENTS These blocks help control what your code does. CONTROL These blocks control your code and sprites. It's similar to the Events. SENSING These blocks sense what happens in your Stage and do different things depending on what happened. OPERATORS These blocks do math for you, pick random numbers for you, and join words into sentences. MORE BLOCKS When yo become very advanced, and you realize there isn't a block to do something, you use this tab to make a block. You can define what your block does by using other blocks, then use your block in your code. Hopefully this guide helped you!
