So, I felt like Steel OS 3 got way too off-track as a consequence of feature creep. If you've never heard of feature creep, it's where a project gets too many features not originally planned. It's why Windows Vista took so long to be developed, and why it had a development reset. The aero-esque themes were not originally supposed to be in Steel OS 3, it was supposed to have a bulky (a la Steel OS 2.0 and 2.3), minimalistic but not flat theme. Then, after it got too big (likely due to either too much sample music or too many backgrounds iirc) it got sent over to TurboWarp. The Scratch side of things got lucky, as the feature creep was potentially worse after I started working on it in TurboWarp (I wanted to add "third-party" applications). As such, Steel OS Classic 3.0 is going to roll back the development to where I had it with Steel OS 3.0 Build 1927. I want to tone down to some of my main, original March 2023 plans, without the web browser stuff (which will be replaced by a drastically reduced feature from the final original project, the "SPEAR" protocol). I also want it to be on the more lightweight side, of which I may develop a "Plus" version off-site. I don't know yet, and I need to re-organize my plans still, so don't expect a new build for some time.
