20 Questions for Writers! (To Make You Think Hard) 1. Q: What got you interested in writing? A: Well, I've been telling stories my whole life. They started as drawings and pictures, and random books covers, but as I got older, they became words on paper, then finally paragraphs typed on a computer, and now, whole books! 2. Q: Did you always like writing? Yes, it's always been a wonderful way to use my creativity and put my thoughts and ideas on paper to show others! 3: Q: What is the story that has just been sitting around in your brain, waiting to come to life? Is it just a vague idea that catches your heart, or is it already an elaborate story? A: Well, I've always wanted to write a story that catches the reader's heart. That fills their eyes with tears at the saddest parts, that makes them smile at the happiest parts, and puts them on the edge of their seats at the most suspensful parts... 4. Q: What makes a story catch your heart? A: When I can relate to it, when I fall in love with the characters, and when I really feel like the world in that book is real. 5. Q: Do you think that there's a pattern that all good stories follow, or are they all different? All of my favorite stories have excitement, good characters, and intriguing plots, plus, it helps when their some dr@ma or romance ;) 6. Q: Did you ever cry over your own writing? Laugh over it? Shiver over it? A: Ummm.....no lol 7. Q: What do you despise in stories? A: When there's really annoying cliffhangers!!! And also, when they are super happy with no plot and they are just too boring :I 8. Q: What makes a story bad (in your opinion)? A: When there's no real plot 9. Q: Which is more important in a story: emotional depth, or an interesting plot? A: Interesting plot! 10. Q: Is there a specific thing your stories tend to center around? (Ex: setting, personality of character, genre, ect.) A: Usually some sort of magical event, or some sort of fantasy/realistic fiction/romance 11. Q: Do you plan to become an author someday? A: They can inspire young people to become authors, and take readers on adventures and help them learn life lessons 13. Q: What are your favorite themes (morals or messages) in stories? A: Maybe like, believe in yourself, or you can be brave, or idk lol the power of family and friendship? (Now I sound like my little pony lol) 14. Q: What are the cliches you hate the most? A: The most repetitive ones :0 15. Q: Is there a way to make those cliches not so bad? Do you think you could do it if you set out to try? A: If the author could spin the cliches into their own better version, with a twist? 16. Q: What is the genre you hate the most? A: Probably horror... creepy lol 17. Q: What if you tried to write it? What would happen? A: Honestly, I would probably be very good at it-and give myself nightmares XD 18. Q: What makes a character lovable? A: When they are truly a good person, and you can relate to them 19. Q: Is it possible for a non-lovable character to make you care deeply about them? A: Yes! 20.
