BIG WIP - Character’s name: Trickery’s Serpent - Character’s age: 23 moons old - Character’s current group: WindClan + Angel’s Choir - Roleplayer’s prior experience: I have extensive experience writing cunning, ambitious, and layered characters who thrive in political or hierarchical plots. I enjoy character-driven drama and complex dynamics, especially between leaders and their subordinates. I have also played high-ranking characters in various other roleplays, including deputy/leader-like roles. - Character’s prior experience: Basiliskgrin’s history (from surviving an abusive upbringing in Egypt, to self-naming and forging a powerful reputation in WindClan) has left him with both the ambition and tactical intelligence necessary for leadership. He has served as a warrior, but his skills (charisma, cunning, persuasion, and ruthlessness) set him apart from typical fighters. He thrives in positions of influence, where he can command, manipulate, and strategize. He wants more, something in him can’t rest until he has it all. - Character’s personality: A dangerous cocktail of charisma and venom, Basiliskgrin is both mesmerizing and unsettling. He is persuasive, eloquent, and confident, with a smile that never falters, a mask as much as a weapon. While his charm can inspire trust, beneath it lies manipulation, obsession, and a hunger for power. He is clever, calculating, and thrives in social maneuvering, with little tolerance for weakness. He is driven by ambition, but not mindless ambition, every step is planned, every alliance a tool. (+) Charismatic, eloquent, confident, persuasive, resilient, visionary, decisive, ambitious, courageous, hardworking, leader-like (=) Commanding, intimidating, stoic, calculating, hypnotic, suave, cunning (–) Arrogant, manipulative, obsessive, controlling, insensitive, ruthless, vindictive, selfish, dishonest, cynical, morbid - Character's attitude towards their role Proud. Basiliskgrin would see the role of Disciple as both a challenge and an opportunity. He does not seek to merely serve the Virtuoso, he seeks to understand her, to learn the game from the inside, and to hone his influence among the Choir. He would see being Disciple not only as a step toward power but also as a way to shape the group from within. His loyalty to Seraph’s Halo would be genuine in the sense that he respects power and vision, but ultimately, he is loyal to legacy, and to his own ambitions. - Why would the character accept this role? Basiliskgrin is power-hungry, and being Disciple is the most direct path toward leadership. He wants influence, control, and the ability to leave his mark on history. But deeper than that, the Choir appeals to him because of its serpentine ties, it’s as though the group was made for him. He would accept because he sees the Disciple role as the throne’s shadow, the place where real decisions are whispered before they are declared. - Why are you, the roleplayer, interested in this role? I think Basiliskgrin’s personality fits perfectly with the dynamic tension of being a Disciple, ambitious, cunning, but also calculating enough to bide his time and work under Seraph’s Halo. His history with serpents, manipulation, and his obsession with legacy makes him a natural addition to the Choir’s lore. I would love to write the subtle power plays, the tension between loyalty and ambition, and the way he would shape his role within the Choir. - Ideas for plot, dynamics, etc.: Outsider manipulation: As someone with ties to WindClan, he could serve as a “double-edged sword,” gathering intelligence or subtly sowing seeds of doubt within the clans to benefit the Choir. Maybe (big maybe) he could even gain a leader’s trust, only to betray them with the Choir. Choir development: He would push the Choir to be more strategic and intimidating, favoring manipulation and psychological warfare over brute force. The Serpent Legacy: Basiliskgrin could dive into the deeper connection between himself and the Serpentine Dynasty, uncovering whether his bloodline truly ties him to Medusa’s light or if he’s simply crafting a false narrative to cement his place. - Other: If selected, I would love to work with Seraph’s Halo’s player to create a great alliance— two serpents, both with ambition and vision, circling one another as allies, but with the unspoken knowledge that one day they may clash. IM SO EXCIYED GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!
