Poppy was just flirting with Harry all night. He finally found an excuse to leave, which was, “I have to use the restroom”. Poppy just nodded, with a small smile, but got angry as soon as he left. I guess I really was right about the anger issues thing. Soon, I didn’t have any interest at the dance, so, I left and saw Harry outside. I tried to act like I didn’t see him, but, my body had a mind of its own, and started walking up to him. I said, “Hey. You waiting for someone?”. He just looked at me, and soon I just realized what I just said. Why was I asking someone I don’t know if they were waiting for someone? I slapped my forehead and said, “Oh, sorry. I, um, didn’t mean that.”. He started giggling a bit and replied, “It’s fine. And no, I’m not waiting for someone.”. I was surprised he answered in that way, I kinda started blushing…but why? Could I really be falling in love with him? Someone I don’t know that well? And, if Poppy finds out, what will happen? Who knows what she would do. Harry noticed me blushing, and looked into my eyes. I felt embarrassed, and walked away, like nothing happened. I felt like he liked me too, who knows. At school, Poppy, again, tried flirting with him. This time, he said, “This won’t work out. I don’t like you.”. He left. Or, in other words, he left her. There was really nothing between them anyway. He walked up to me, and said, “Hey. Yesterday’s very short conversation showed me that someone like you could be in my friend group. You’ll be the only girl though, you okay with that?”. I didn’t know what to say, I just stared at him. Soon, I snapped out of it and said, “Sure.”.
