blue gang! im entering for the blueberry design to hopefully use him as an older brother to my existing siblings. left: Bianca, middle sister, punk rebel, likes starting fights middle: Oliver, youngest, petty femboy who's good at getting on people's nerves right: Jack, oldest brother, loud and obnoxious and confident society fears them lol they never do any real damage but they get a thrill from causing chaos they fight with each other all the time but are entirely inseparable and best friends for life originally (prior to the brainstorm for this dtae) Bianca and Oliver had an older brother but he wasnt important, never had any screentime, got in trouble with the police and disappeared. but that doesnt really fit my picture of Jack at all so woop, changing that! since i changed this all of 5 minutes ago, i still gotta work out the kinks of how jack is going to fit into the story, but the gist is: pre-pre-plot - they are chaotic siblings. oliver (who is a protagonist) thinks bianca and jack go a liiiitle too far in their semi-legal antics but he doesn’t mind pre-plot - oliver enters the spy program to be an official agent. jack is worried about his safety and oliver thinks jack is being overbearing. they have their first serious fight, and go their separate ways feeling hurt. plot - oliver gets swept up in a whole mess of terrorism and arson and assassins and he runs away with his soon-to-be-boyfriend. this is the story itself, im not giving much detail bc jack's not involved. end-of-plot - oliver and his boyfriend return to their homes after the whole ordeal, traumatized and injured and whatever. oliver is greeted by his siblings, who were so worried for him, and oliver has finally gained some respect and feels like he's grown up, which is so important to him as the youngest sibling. jack says i told you it was gonna be dangerous and oliver breaks down and apologizes for fighting with jack before leaving to be a spy. they have a long, incredibly mature talk (jack encourages oliver to go back to his heartbroken bf and other plot important stuff) but of course, neither can stay serious for long, and the three siblings are back to bickering and teasing. and to oliver, it feels like home. and that's how i would use this design, i think the addition of Jack to my existing story brings a lot more into Oliver's home life, which is important because after everything he goes through he needs a safe place to fight for, something to return to when he needs to settle down again. they're the kind of siblings that dont look related, like at all. but then they do something like laugh together or make snarky eye contact and suddenly, yeah, they're /definitely/ related. Jack is blunt and obnoxious, but he does have good advice, and is usually right about how to go about things. He sees himself as the guardian of his younger siblings and takes responsibility for them. Especially since the three live without their parents. He is usually the one to first propose a prank idea, then he allows the others to finesse the details. He takes life on head-first, takes risks and lives loudly, and he's proud of that. But while he is content with himself living dangerous, he becomes very responsible where Oliver is concerned. He sees that Bianca can handle herself, but Oliver is the little babyyy and he cares so much and couldn't live with himself if Oliver got hurt. Jack knows Oliver despises that, but he can't keep himself from worrying sick when Oliver is off with the spies and the danger. When Oliver returns, Jack sees him in a whole new light and begins to appreciate his resourcefulness, his stubbornness, his newfound maturity. Even so, Jack is the silently-appointed-father figure and oliver will forever be his baby. art by designers left to right: heheh i speedran this in one afternoon last minute bonus vibe thought!! jack is a turtleneck black coffee and all-nighters kinda guy B)
