Hello yall! I’m back from Washington so uhhhh I have put together a little photo dump, obviously it’s not all the photos I took bc then we’d be here all day XD. let’s get started shall we~ (Photos are out of order btw) 1. Archaeopteryx fossil (fun fact on the back of my phone I have a sticker of this exact fossil) 2. The uhhh library of congress which was kinda boring but it was pretty inside I guess 3-7. GIANT PANDASSSSSSSSSS these fuzzy buddies are like the whole reason we went to DC lol 8. so uh you can go in the capitol rotunda for like 10 minutes for free but it’s just to take pictures they don’t even tell you anything so here’s the ceiling 9. Henry statue outside the Smithsonian Castle. There is a plaque on the back saying who he is but it’s really hard to read so basically he was the first Secretary of the institution 10. Smithsonian Castleeeeeee!!! You’ll recognize this building if you watched Battle of the Smithsonian lolz 11. National Museum of Natural History (fun fact I actually live there yeah totally) 12. The Winston Red Diamond, an extremely rare diamond because of its size and color. (yes it’s tiny lol but that’s big for a red diamond) 13. Surrounding the Winston Red is a collection of other colored diamonds 14. The Hope Diamond, one of the world’s most famous jewels. It also is rumored to be cursed to bring bad luck upon whoever owns it. 15. mummy tomb very cool 16. A Dingo. But look up to the curtain, and behind it, is a REAL Thylacine. Thylacines went presumably extinct in 1936, and it’s super cool to see a real one! 17. Clouded Leopard yeeeeeee 18.ok so I feel like any Mammal exhibit has a leopard and gazelle in this exact pose like I’ve seen it everywhere (what’s next I go to the AMNH in New York and they have it too) 19. Lionesses attacking a Water Buffalo (imagine having to be the guy who’s job is to mess around with animal corpses to pose them like this) 20. The entrance to the mammal hall 21.tiger rawr 22. A Life-size model of a megalodon in the museum’s atrium 23. A (I believe she is life size) model of Phoenix, a right whale that scientists have been tracking since birth 24. Diplodocusssssss 25. Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops (imagine how tedious it is to pose these) 26. Sorry it’s kinda hard to see what’s going on, but this is a Stegosaurus and Ceratosaurus battling (aka the stegosaurus is Julius Caesaring the other with its tail spikes) 27. Allosaurussss 28. HENRYYYYYY 29. Fords Theatre (I have a lot more photos from there but I don’t think scratch would let me explain what they are.) 30. reflection pool + Washington Monument 31. Lincoln memorial 32. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial 33. Jefferson Memorial 34. Inside Jefferson Memorial 35. National archives (ignore the glare, I was in a car when I took this) 36. Capitol 37. White House 38. This is the Jennie Wade house in Gettysburg, PA. All I’ll say is this is the house where the only civilian was ki//ed in the battle of Gettysburg. 39. Statue I saw in Gettysburg 40. Library w statue of Lincoln outside aaaand we are back at the start! thanks for paying attention if you did (I know I was gone when the Coldplay-CEO-Cheater-Callout thing happened. Don’t worry; the memes are coming.)
