1. I did dressage with Lexy. She usually prefers going slow, but we’ve been doing mostly Cross Country and Jumping, so she was needing to slow down, instead of speed up. teaching long lining soon as I may breed her. 2. Trail with Melody, Scorpius, and Geode with my kiddos. a fun relaxing break after hard school for them. 3. In-hand figuring out Hero. he’s newer, so i want to figure him out and his buttons before mounting. He’s flighty with his feet, and is really pressure sensitive. But listens well to just vocal or hand signals. 4. a difficult time teaching Zen. he’s good, but needs lot’s of pushing. we just lunged and did some work on picking up the next gait and staying there. i’ll be changing his training from Cross Country to Dressage. 5. Just had a zoom around on Bolter. he’s big, so most people don’t think he can go as fast as he does. but his gait is so long and smooth it almost feels like riding in a open car. felt freeing after working with Zen. 6. Shimmer has turned three, which means it’s time to do pre-saddle training. I have worked on touch/leading/pressure desensitization so far. I just went over what we worked on. he spooked a bit at the tarp. we will do that more next time.
