Update 1/13/22: Game is being remade due to multiple reports of the game failing to load, the game file size is over 200 MB, and lots of optimization needs to be done. The remake will use a custom build of my BeatZ II Engine that will be specialized in recreating DDRMAX2's timing windows, life/scoring system, etc. Welcome to my attempt at porting DDRMAX2 in Scratch! Read Instructions and Notes and Credits before playing! If you want to help with this project, suggest some songs, or just talk with me about this project, check out my studio below! https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/3594445/ --------------------------------------------------------------- Want to go full arcade style (With a side of minor lag)? Try fullscreen! --------------------------------------------------------------- Progress Checklist: Songs: 61 Game Start: Done Select Style: Done Select Difficulty: Done Select Music: 90% done? Gameplay: 90% done? Evaluation: 75% done? Ranking: Not done --------------------------------------------------------------- Notice: The left and right number variables show how many credits you inserted, and the middle shows how many credits are left available to insert today. ONLY 50 CREDITS CAN BE USED IN THIS PROJECT EACH DAY, AND YOU CAN ONLY INSERT 2 FOR A SINGLE USER! IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A CHANCE TO PLAY, BE HERE FAST BEFORE ANYONE ELSE! If you try to insert a credit when they are all used up or when you already have 2 credits inserted, you'll hear an invalid sound effect. If you want extra credits, try liking and favoriting this project! For every 100 stars on this project, the maximum credits usable in each day increases by 5, and the maximum will stay like that FOREVER!!! 100 loves, that's 10 extra credits! --------------------------------------------------------------- Special: Press the space bar when the 2nd player is joined to set a profile that is ONLY accessible to the username who made it! It will act as a 2nd player save data!
Notice: This game is more functional in TurboWarp! If the game crashes repeatedly while trying to load it, or you have trouble running the project on the Scratch website, you can use this link to play the game with toggleable frame rates: https://turbowarp.org/120132146?stuck&fps=60 --------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer and credits can be seen in-game. --------------------------------------------------------------- Music: Productions of Bemani, Dancemania series, and other respective song artists. I will plan to add a CD title to each song so you know which game or album each song debuted from. --------------------------------------------------------------- Sounds: Ripped from DDRMAX2 by Takuya20. --------------------------------------------------------------- Announcer: Voice is from Londell "Taz" Hicks, ripped by Takuya20. --------------------------------------------------------------- Special Thanks: -Konami for making the original awesome game! - for inspiring me with his DDR project to create this project! - for his awesome Scratchbeats! project! -Takuya20 for his DDRMAX2 Theme for StepMania 3.9, ripping graphics, sounds, etc. -StepMania for giving him the reason to do these tasks! Without these guys and this game, I never would have access to the resources I needed for recreating this game on Scratch. So HUGE thanks to them all! --------------------------------------------------------------- Why did I make this project? Well, I tried playing the DDR projects the other fellow Scratchers (especially djscope!) made, but they didn't feel like the actual game, and it was missing a lot of aspects of the original game. So I thought, what if I could create a DDR project, that looked and played exactly (or closely) like the original game? It's weird how I'm making this project, because up until now, I was making remixes, or simple projects, and then all of a sudden, I'm recreating an actual game (griffpatch does a lot) and making it look like the real, original thing. I have changed the format of the game from home to arcade version, because it would make more sense, because you use credits. The game is the JP version, but I will try to make a bilingual version. (JP and U.S.A. version) --------------------------------------------------------------- I have trouble with the repeating script (solved) and the 2P profile code (solved). I have made forums at Discuss Scratch. Help me and your name will be shown here! Forum Links: Repeating Code: 2P Profile Code: I actually play DDR! (StepMania, to be more exact.) I played since I was 4! (Although during that time i didn't actually play and just watched the arrows go past the screen.) Updates: -Added Joint Premium Setting. (On odd-numbered days, you can play with modes that require two credits with only one credit! You will actually be able to play Versus or Double two times! Of course, you don't have to, but I might suggest you use that opportunity wisely!) -Added Language variable. (This allows players of both JP and U.S.A regions to play in their desired region's version of the game. (This is mainly for language preference. Originally, this game was for Japan, but English users might not know what it means, so I made an English version as well.)) -Added Extra Stage/One More Extra Stage. This is a special feature in which if you manage to get an AA in your last song on Heavy difficulty, you will be granted an EXTRA stage to play with, if you manage to get another AA, you will be granted ONE MORE extra stage. (However, Sudden Death mode is enabled, so ONE combo break and your game ENDS.) Dance Revolution 7th Mix
