READ ALL BEFORE PLAYING *************************************************************** This game is buggy. Nothing game-breaking, and thankfully I managed to work the worst of it out, but there are mild collision issues with the ground/walls etc. It was a big project for me, and I couldn't find the right tutorials for what I wanted to do, so the code is mostly my own. (If you have any suggestions for how I can fix the collision, please let me know in the comments) *************************************************************** INSTRUCTIONS: Player 1 uses the W A S D keys for movement, Player 2 uses the arrow keys for movement, and the F G H keys are used for minigames. Z X C and E are all interact buttons. The game will remind you of these instructions when it's time to use them. CHARACTERS: Sharkwave (the blue shark) - Is faster, but can't jump very high. Can't touch purple platforms. Magenta (the magenta bat) - Is slower, but can jump higher. Can't touch blue platforms. -These characters are based on the main 2 GamerMonkeys on the YouTube channel Rebel Shell Gaming (Go check them out) - MINIGAMES: Music Minigame - Both players take part in this minigame, taking turns pressing the corresponding keys to the letters that flash on-screen. The player whose turn it is will have the "P1" or "P2" symbols at the top of the screen light up. Basket Minigame: Only Magenta takes part in this minigame, catching the green squares in the bowl at the bottom of the screen, using the F G and H keys to move the bowl. Game Minigame: Only Sharkwave takes part in this minigame, having 3 lives to get to the end of a 6 level platform game. Bossfight: Similar to the Music Minigame, both players take turns following the instructions on screen and press the corresponding keys to deal damage to the boss, but this time will need to dodge the boss' attack. The player whose turn it is will have their character's colour be the colour of the text at the bottom of the screen. Bossfight Phase 2: Phase 2 of the bossfight is slightly different. It starts with the player choosing a weapon out of the options: sword, teeth, gun (don't worry, it's not depicted realistically), spatula or just a simple punch. Each of these attacks deals half damage to the boss, then it's up to the player to remember the sounds of the F G and H keys from the music minigame and press the corresponding keys to the sounds without any text to guide them. Neither player is specifically required to do the inputs in phase 2, so either can do it.
