I just wanted to film this lift but something went BADLY WRONG! A NASTY KAREN BUSTED ME and SHOT ME with a handgun! Also, SHE COPIED MS54's COLOR PATTERN AND SAID A VERY BAD SLUR! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Anyways, here's the description of the lift, fire alarms, PC's, and building itself: Brand: ThyssenKrupp. Year: 2007. Refurbished by Otis in 2017. Type: MRL traction. Capacity: 630 kg or 8 persons. Speed: 1 m/s. Fixtures: Link Mk2 (Now Dewhurst buttons + American-style indicator from ACME). Voice: Was TK Link full voice (Now Daniel UK TTS). Motor: Leroy-Somer MRL gearless motor (Small newer TK Link MRL motor). VF drive: Leroy-Somer Unidrive SP. Logic: TK Link logic (French TK ISIS). Doors: ThyssenKrupp Euro (Car doors replaced with Wittur AMD). Location: 148 Aurora Alley, El Garcia, ST. This is the lift at a modern mixed-use building which opened on October 4th of 2007. The lift was originally a futuristic ThyssenKrupp Link Mk2 MRL which has the later and smaller Leroy-Somer MRL motor which is not as characterful as the previous one. Also, even the VVVF drive fan sounds rather "unhappy" on this lift! That fan is also really loud during going up! So, yeah, this lift kind of lacks of character! It does run efficiently though... But there's no pre-doors! It has been refurbished by Otis in 2017 because the offices at 1st floor have been replaced with a Gucci store in 2017. The building was mixed-use originally as 1st floor was occupied with offices only while all of the other floors have aparment flats apart from floor -1. The lift got refurbished by Otis with a brass cab, new doors, new fixtures and new Daniel TTS voice because Gucci requested that. They also requested the replacement of the fire alarm system which was a 2007 Simplex 4100U branded as Speaking Fire Guardian. It had TrueAlert speaker strobes and remote strobes as well as PAVA speakers. There were no horn strobes. They decided to replace it with an horrendous Gamewell-FCI one which was so bad that the fire alarm panel has been replaced with a Silent Knight one in 2018! Then, in late 2020, the Gucci store went bankrupt for a very stupid reason: They spent too much money on terrible 2017 MacBook Pro laptops with the stupid butterfly keyboards as well as ultra toasty i9-powered 2018 MBP's which also had those trash butterfly keyboards! The keyboards kept on failing and the 2018 ones with Intel Core i9 processors overheated and cooked themselves to death because the thermals were so bad on these things! The 2017 ones had dual-core i7 CPU's and they didn't overheat, but were still overpriced garbage... And the survivors died of soldered SSD failure after a maximum of like 2-3 years! The offices had 2007 Dell Latitude and Optiplex PC's which were ultra reliable and were still fine after 9-10 years. And then, the Gucci store has been replaced with a Dollar Tree store in February of 2021 and the fire alarm system has been replaced yet again with a Fire-Lite system which has PyroStop voice evac equipment (PS VE panel, speaker strobes and remote strobes) and PAVA speakers. The Gamewell-FCI system was voice evacuation too and it had some SpectrAlert Advance speaker strobes + remote strobes but no PAVA speakers. SK retrofitted their own voice evac panel in there just a year after that Gamewell-FCI system was installed BTW... BTW this Dollar store uses Dell Latitude 5310 laptops and OptiPlex 7080 SFF desktops which are good and still work very well after 4 years of service. Also, some PyroStop low frequency sounders were added in the sleeping areas (Floors with apartments) in 2012 and they are still there. My opinion on this refurbishment: Well... I'm not a big fan of that because it's wasteful and unecessary and it makes this lift more boring. So yeah, this refurbishment is rather mediocre and totally useless! And also, the fire alarms have been replaced so many times in this building despite the fact that it was only built in 2007! And it used to be a SFG-branded Simplex 4100U system aswell! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! BTW, this building still has it's original Mitsubishi HVAC system from 2007 apart from the equipment at floor 1 has been modified a bit in 2017 and 2021 because of the Gucci and Dollar Tree stores. Also, the Dollar Tree store does not have shopping carts/trolleys because it's very small, located at floor 1 and the lift car is too small for trolleys (630 kg or 8 persons capacity).
