The engine was made using the LNER A3 No. 2744 "The Grand Parade" who had a crash in 1937 but in this universe instead of getting scrapped it got rebuilt in to a goods engine Gordon was a fair and kind Mayor of Knapford who everyone respected. Some called him bossy but he did what was needed and improved the city they elected him to manage. Before he became the mayor he was a jockey in his free time and when he ended playing his role, he sat on a horse once again, but he fell off and since he wasn't as young as back then you can figure out the rest.
