Secret Lives of Stuff - Scratch Camp 2025 ----- Welcome to the first week of Scratch Camp, Not As it Seems: Secret Lives of Stuff! This week, we’re exploring the secret lives of everyday objects. Think about the stuff around you: your furniture, your toys, your clothes, your cups, your things. Now imagine: what if they had their own world inside or came to life when no one is around to see? Does your pencil have a team of workers inside secretly helping you spell things correctly? Could your backpack hold a hidden jungle buried deep within? Does your toothbrush have a daily to-do list it needs to achieve before you use it? What do your clothes get up to when you’re not wearing them? In this week’s studio, you’ll explore the inner lives, hidden worlds, and untold stories of the objects all around you. What might they be hiding? What adventures might they go on when no one’s looking? Looking for ideas to get started? - Create a game set inside the world of a lunchbox - Animate a conversation between the items in your pocket - Imagine a world set deep inside your backpack and make artwork about it - Animate a scene with miniature musicians who live inside your headphones - Design a game about items in your house needing to find their way back to where they belong before you get home - Write a story from the point of view of your bookshelf - Make a simulation of how a music player feels when it skips a song - Design an interactive map of the inside of your couch Remember, these are only suggestions. You are welcome to come up with your own ideas or take inspiration from projects already in the studio. We are surrounded by everyday objects we might usually ignore. Just think of all the surprising stories your stuff could tell if only we thought to imagine them! What will you create for Scratch Camp this week? =^..^= (written by @ScratchCat)
