The Millionaire's Game Lore: Nixon Auld, one of the richest people in America, passed away five years ago today. Finally, his last messages have become public, in accordance with his will. His note to his four children has been published for the world to see. For the world to solve. Auld had one final game... and for you, along with the rest of the world, to play. The prize? The majority of his vast fortune. You, as one of the four children of Nixon Auld, are determined to win your father's money for yourself. Your inheritance is riding upon this success. The money is hidden somewhere within your father's mansion where you spent your childhood—you're certain. Your father admitted to it within the last years of his life. And yet, you need to get in. Due to the familiar distance following the death of your mother, you don't even have a key to the house. Your father's first series of clues will lead to a key. RULES: Do! Not! Cheat!! Cheating includes: - Looking inside the project - Intentionally stealing information from other teams - LOOKING INSIDE THE PROJECT - Using an AI like ChatGPT (if, say, the Google AI pops up when you look something up, that's okay, though? Just try to not read it.) - Intentional sabotage of other teams (like lying about a hint you got or lying about a puzzle's solution) - Exploiting any obvious bugs you find in the project - If it feels wrong, it's probably cheating! Check in with me. :) - Did I mention looking inside the project is CHEATING? If I find out somehow you have intentionally cheated, you will be asked to no longer participate in this activity. ^^' However, the following is NOT cheating: - Getting information from other cabins that they WILLINGLY give you - Looking things up on Google - Asking people outside of GWDFI Camp for help - Brute forcing the puzzles (there are some times this is actively encouraged. However, please don't randomly brute force the search bar, as there are some inputs you could feasibly guess by accident </3) Oh, and by the way, click 'no' for the first screen rather than 'yes' when it asks if you've read the rules. It's just a safeguard I added in there to make sure! Ha. :> Hints: - Each team has the ability to get hints! They may (but don't have to) share the information they get with other teams. - Each cabin has three hints per chapter. They may donate these hints to one another if they'd like (though this would need to be done by a cabin leader.) Hints do not carry over to the other chapters. - Hints can be redeemed by asking me on this project [or by doing so off the project, so long as you've gotten approval from either a cabin leader or a few other campers] :) I'll message it to you however you'd like. - Please specify what you'd like a hint on! If I give you a hint and it's not helpful, it still counts as your hint. Therefore, it's in your best interest to tell me what you've figured out and what you're stuck on. - Using two hints on a puzzle will just tell you the answer or at very least a step by step way to find the solution POINTS You are considered officially 'done' if anyone in your cabin says the secret phrase which appears when a chapter is completed. (though, if I haven't seen your work in figuring it out, I may need to ask you how you got there) You will be awarded points depending on your placement. 1st to complete: 5,000 2nd: 4,000 3rd: 3,000 4th: 2,000 If your cabin does not solve the puzzle, they will be awarded 0 points (rather than getting 4th place.) In addition, I may give teams bonus points for particular creative solutions or problem solving or anything else? Additional Notes: There will be two more chapters (ideally?). Any upcoming chapters will be slightly different. If you find a solution to a puzzle, most of the time, you just need to input said solution into the search bar. Important! Tying into search bar is very strange due to the nature of the program. You may have to hold down a button for a second or wait at least 2 seconds between clicking each letter in order to be sure that it processes. To type into the search bar, just type. You can use the 'enter' key to search. If it deletes your text, that means the phrase/word you inputted did nothing. Numbers/special characters don't work. Using the left arrow words as a backspace button. Unfortunately, most of the time you can't exit out of the chess menu. Simply click the 'back' button in that case. Should the game stop working, just restart the project. :) If you're on mobile, use the three dots to search! Keep in mind that you need to use only lowercase letters. These puzzles are INTENDED to be difficult. You should rely on working together with your teammates. CREDITS ==== used this text engine! it's awesome. :D Also, incredible amounts of inspiration (both conscious and subconscious) from parts of the Inheritance Game.
