Ah yes, Sonic The Hedgehog. A fast paced, badass game series with not only good and great games, but amazing ones as well. During the early 90’s, Sonic was on an amazing streak. Sonic 1 introduced the series, Sonic 2 introduced Sonic’s sidekick, Tails, Sonic 3 introduced Eggman’s partner, Knuckles, and Sonic and Knuckles brought Knuckles into Sonic’s friendzone. But in 1994, Sonic went on a hiatus. With the release of the Sega Saturn, Sonic didn’t get any major games. Sure, we got spinoffs like Sonic R, but there were no major games in the series. There was a game planned, Sonic X-treme, but it gave the people working on it serious health problems, and it never released. However, in 1998, Sega released their latest and greatest console, the Sega Dreamcast. And with it came the first ever 3D Sonic game; Sonic Adventure. Until April of this year, I never played it. I know it was on the PlayStation store as a PS3 game, but I could never buy it. However, on Easter I got a 25 dollar gift card. So a week later, I put my money onto my PSN account and bought Sonic Adventure. A couple months later, here’s my review. First, the visuals are gorgeous. The models are low-poly, but they still look better than the models in other games. I’m looking at you, Sonic 06. The colors are bright, the lighting is good and fits every area, and the animations are good aswell. The sound design is good, the music is incredible, and the voice acting is bad in an absolutely hilarious way. “Oh no” indeed, Knuckles. The gameplay itself is good, but here comes my only issue with the game. I feel directionless in the
