Double click the green flag to begin. Use WASD or the arrow keys to move, and use E to interact with signs or NPCs. Press the space key to advance dialogue. Avoid touching spikes, or you will lose health. Lose all of your health, and you will respawn at your previous checkpoint. Campfires act like checkpoints. Touch one to restore all of your health. You can change the difficulty at any time. If you're struggling in a specific area, just lower the difficulty. You can also save/load your game as long as you aren't in a fight or cutscene. If you want, you can enable Practice Mode in the main menu/pause menu. Practice Mode disables all damage, and is useful for those that just want to enjoy the game's visuals. You'll learn more along the way. Good luck, the rest is up to you.

I'm okay with ads as long as there's only one per person maximum. === Notes ========================= Note 1: If The Descent doesn't open for you, click this link instead for a less lag/no music version: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1363207792/ Note 2: This game is extremely difficult, so it's highly recommended to start your first playthrough on Minimal/Peaceful/Casual difficulty. You can adjust this at any time. This game is a sequel to The Summit: This is the most ambitious project I've ever worked on, with almost a full year spent on its development. I hope you guys enjoy :) Everything was made entirely by me. The music was made using Garageband. === Mod information ==================== If you want your The Descent mod to be added to the "Mods and Extras" list, then let me know so I can check it out. === Links =========================== The Summit (The prequel) The Descent Studio The Descent (Less Lag Version) The Descent Soundtrack The Descent Progress Report (A project containing the game's development process.)
