Here is how marks work: Marks are the different types of powers that one can have here, each one made by a sacrifice: 1. Personality sacrifice a. Sacrifice either your biggest flaw or your weakest virtue to turn the other into a power, called marks (e.g. Envy mark = Copy other marks, Patience mark= superhuman flow state) b. The mark that you keep will corrupt your personality, while the flaw/virtue you sacrifice no longer is a part of you. c. This sacrifice is the lest painful, meaning these are generally the weakest marks 2. Bodily sacrifice a. Sacrifice a part of your physical body (e.g. Left arm = arm manipulation, right arm for arm summoning) b. You can no longer use that part of you (no arms) c. These marks are relatively painful, mid-level power 3. Sentimental sacrifice a. This sacrifice has 3 forms i. Object 1. Sacrifice an item that you hold dear into a mark (a childhood toy, a necklace, an old picture) 2. The object will become a weapon or creature or device depending on what it was ii. Person 1. Sacrifice a loved one/s to gain a familiar mark (family, friends, lovers) 2. The familiar/s with have its own set of marks based off who it was. I say set because they will be forced to sacrifice everything for you and all of them will become a mark (except for other people). 3. This sacrifice is the most versatile and powerful (generally) iii. Ideology sacrifice 1. Sacrifice an idea or way of life (Religion, morals, hobby etc.) 2. Gain a reality bending (Divine and or Unholy magic, elemental magic, gravity, space, time and other abstract elements, usually with or in the form of an aura) 4. PAIN a. The first sacrifice will give you a certain amount of PAIN level. You can only gain more PAIN via inflicting PAIN on others. Once you get to a certain PAIN level, you can make another sacrifice. a. The first sacrifice will give you a certain amount of PAIN level. You can only gain more PAIN via inflicting PAIN on others. Once you get to a certain PAIN level, you can make another sacrifice. PAIN can gained by physically harming someone or emotionally harming someone (e.g. sadness, regret, anger). There are no limits to levels or number or marks b. To gain PAIN, you must battle i. First you send each other your oc links, you each party know the capabilities of the other ii. Then you must request battle like this: 1. Battle Request: Your username or oc name vs. your opponent’s name 2. If they accept, the battle will go like this a. Your action, if attack how much pain, if defense how effective (evasive is 100% effective but can be challenged), or things like items or dialogue, what you use and wat it does or what you say. b. Then your opponent does the same. c. If you or your opponent inflicts PAIN, you or your opponent must deduct pain from your bio or add pain to your bio d. Do this till someone gives up or run out of PAIN e. This is alpha testing, if something doesn’t work, please tell me or give me advice.
