"If I could be with you now, I would be your shield. And if I could not be your shield, I would teach you to be your own. And if I could not teach you to be your own shield, then I would simply tell you that all the heartache you face will lead you to where I am now. And where I am now, is home." - A message to who I was before. This song is very personal to me, as some parts of it remind me of my struggles in discovering that I was, and later in coming out as, non-binary. Making this art was sort of a way for me to pour out a few emotions I had inside at the time. I'm lucky to have a very loving and accepting family who were very kind to me after I officially came out. I've been told that I was too young to know what I was by people who were scared of change, but now they've learned from their mistakes, and everyone tries so hard to get my pronouns right and to correct themselves when they get them wrong. My heart goes out to all those who have not been so lucky. UPDATE: Yall I'm trans IF YOU STEAL MY ART I WILL STEAL YOUR SOUL
