8/1/2025 ********************************************************************* Sad about having to mostly leave Scratch, but I'm coping. Family (particularly lil sis) is being annoying, per the usual. Lately I've been working a lot on my writing, as well as researching literary agents, and I plan to get published! I've decided to go with picture books as a first step into the publishing process, but I will say, just because they're shorter doesn't mean they're easy. Wish me luck in the querying trenches! Holy crap there's a lot of literary scams. And it doesn't help that some legitimate agencies do require some fees for... stuff. I forgot. If only it was as simple as fee = scammer. But alas, life is not so. Also! I'm in a cabaret and I'm gonna perform today AND tomorrow! I'll let you know how that goes next month! (I'm singing No Good Deed... again >:D) Also! Beetlejuice auditions happened and I did ok. My timing was a little off and I wasn't as expressive as I should've been. I was hoping for Lydia or Juno. I got Ensemble. *fake happy noises* Who am I kidding? Some things never change. I know I'll have fun, though. 9/1/25 ********************************************************************* Whooooo, monthly visit time!! Hooray! :D Aforementioned cabaret went quite nicely, aside from the fact that, for the first performance, the curtain call was completely unrehearsed. So... yeah. That was, well, pandemonium. Haha. But other than that, I feel like I did really good, and I know my fellow performers did really good too! :D Beetlejuice rehearsals are going well, too. I've been mostly working on music and a tiny bit of choreography, and I was supposed to have all of the songs I've learned so far memorized by Friday. However, I was a bit preoccupied with being sick, so I'll just have to make sure I know them today. I wasn't able to go to Friday's rehearsal, so no one will be the wiser. :3 I kinda abandoned lucid dreaming until one or two days ago, so I'm getting back into that. I randomly had this feeling that someone's waiting for me on top of a specific hill, so I'm gonna see what my lucid dreams do with that. I'm totally not crazy, what are you talking about. :P I have a bike race this weekend, so I'm excited about that! It's not on our home course though, so I might have to take it a wee bit slower than I'd like. But it's only two laps this time, so I won't have to pace myself as much as I had to earlier this year. Family is still being annoying. Once again... some things never change. :shrug: 10/2 ********************************************************************* Oh. My gosh. Did I seriously forget to check back in yesterday??? Holy cow! Yeah, sorry guys, I've been kinda swamped lately. Even if I hadn't left, I probably would've had to take a hiatus anyway. More tomorrow, since I'm only on here for a few minutes today. I can afford to take a chill day tomorrow, I think. 10/3 ********************************************************************* Ok, hi again! So a lot of things have been happening. 1. I've started a co-op, and suddenly I have a lot of homework to do (we only meet once a week) and I am STRUGGLING to balance that and all of my other activities. So... yeah, Scratch visits may or may not be a little bit inconsistent, but I'll try to visit on the 1st like I said I would. ;3 Beetlejuice rehearsals are going well. We've already done five run-throughs, and it's not even tech week! Also I somehow managed to make it into A Christmas Carol even though my audition was BAD. If you ask me about it, I will gladly yap. My bike races have been going well. My most recent one, I successfully biked 7 miles in just over 49 minutes. And last night at practice, I biked three laps around the course, or somewhere around 10.5 miles. I ended up finishing the final lap in complete darkness (except for my bike light) and it was fun! Also last week I biked around 12 miles, which is a new high for me :D Anyway... um... so, I had a lot of things to yap about, but I just forgot nearly all of them. Oh well! :P 10/12 ********************************************************************* Happy birthday to me! I did say that I'd come back on holidays. Yes, my birthday counts as a holiday. >:3 Beetlejuice performances are going well. Last night we had an AMAZING audience. They laughed, cheered, and clapped a LOT, and at exactly the right times! Despite an absolutely horrible audition, I have been cast in A Christmas Carol! I dearly wish I could tell you what role I got, but I have been asked to withhold that information for now, and I will honor that wish. </3 But I should be able to tell you on my next visit! 10/31 *********************************************************************
