Fellow Scratchers, I have had a very fun almost seven years on Scratch, and I've learned a lot about computer programming through it and how to create fun games, animations, and noteblocks over the years! Recently, though, I haven't been going on Scratch much because of the busyness of life and other more important things, and now, I think that today is a good time to officially "retire" from Scratch. First of all, I am getting kind of old for it! Scratch has become less of a place to learn new things and more of a place to sit around and play around, and besides that, it's been years since I outgrew the term "kid." :) Additionally, and more importantly, Scratch has kind of become a distraction in my life. I realize that many times, I've hopped on Scratch to work on a little something just because I don't have anything else to do, but I end up wasting time that could be better and wiser spent doing other things. Especially now since we are in the last days of the church age and Jesus is REALLY coming back soon (I'm serious! World events are pointing to it!), I don't want to be building silly noteblocks or games when I could be trying to share the Good News with those around me. Now, I have put in many of my project descriptions Bible verses and the truth of the Gospel, but I think that overall, my time spent on Scratch has been more unwisely used than wisely, and my projects have been secretly attempts to bring glory to myself. So, with that, I am officially retiring from Scratch. I will leave my account and projects up, and I might even check back every now and then to see what's going on on Scratch, but I won't be spending my time making any more projects. Instead, I want to use it to work and serve others in the real world and work harder to share the Good News of Christ Jesus with those around me. Thank you to everyone who has viewed my projects, loved them, favorited them, and in any other ways supported me over the years, even in tiny ways! I hope my projects will continue to point others to Christ and not to myself. <3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- God knows exactly who you are; He created you! "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139:16 NIV) He knows everything about you - even every time you have broken His law and sinned against Him - and He still loves you more than you could ever know. "But God demonstrates [His] own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 NIV) He gave up His own Son for you to be reconciled to Him. He made a way for you to be with Him forever in heaven instead of apart from Him in hell like we deserve. "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 NIV) We need to be saved by Jesus to escape eternal punishment, and He graciously offers you the gift of free salvation today. Listen to me: He loves you. Put your trust in Him.
