☆ Click/tap the backdrop, or press space to proceed. ☆ ========== While rummaging through my main account's unshared projects, I found a remix of this meme that had been rotting in my main account (@Darcythecat) for years. Since my art in it was awfully old, I felt inspired to try it again but on this side account, where I prefer to post things that are more small-scale compared to the content on my main. Not like anyone'll be interested, but I'll just spill my thoughts on the color palette comparisons: 1 - AUREALIS (they/she, purple alien gal) To emphasize the fact they're an alien, Ari has a notably vibrant color palette. When converted through the AJ palette, her colors become unpleasantly drab, diminishing the astral and fantastical qualities of her design. 2 - KONPEITO (she/her, object OC) I was quite surprised to discover how Konpeito's base & cheek colors were almost identical to their sister colors on the AJ palette. But without that yellow undertone in her off-white color (alongside the duller eye colors), her design kinda loses that playful, bubbly energy. 3 - RODRIX (he/him, big buff guy) I had quite a bit of difficulty with this one. The darker blues didn't go very well together on the AJ palette, and I didn't want to lighten Rod's skin tone, so I ended up fusing his skin & lip/eyelid colors into one. I also had to make his hair & wristwatch pitch black, which meant I had to color some line-art to see the details 'cuz I'm picky. On a side note, I haven't played AJ in yeaaarrrs bro :skull_emoji:
