Backstory: (the base is true, but somewhat more fantasy added) It was a horrible and fantastic day, my owner walked into the stable. She held a halster and rope in her hand, I thought she would brush me and then do some inhand work with me. I’ve realized that she wouldn’t do that, normally the friendly young girl comes to ride me at Sunday. My owner came closer, I begun dancing in my stable. She caught me with a fast move, I held my head as high as possible. She opened the door and held a candy for my nose, great. I’ll do it for that candy. I slowly walked next to her, trying to grab the candy. I saw my paddock mate Cas going in front of me, being led by his young owner. Cas walked on further, his hooves making loud bangs on something iron. Something iron? The trailer! I won’t go in there, not after the colic incident. No, no, no! Ah, we walk away. Hey, is that another candy? Okay, okay, I’ll follow that candy. Just a little step, another, another, another… Wait, where did that little bang come from? Ohhh, another candy! Just one more step Abby, just one more, just one more. Yes! One candy for me! What’s Cas doing here? And why are the walls made of iron? THE TRAILER!!! Okay, horrible trailer ride. Oooffff… Now we are on some stable, why? Is that a stallion? Let’s run a little bit! So I’ve ran into the stable, but I’m led in a box that is on the other side of the stallion? Arrrgggghhh, why don’t these humans know if want to speak to that stallion? Great. They leave me alone, now I can still look at him. Wow, he’s beautiful! My ears pointing to him, I was completely in love. “Hello beauty” The stallion said. “Welcome on our stables, I’m Domino.” Wow! He called me a beauty! “Hello beautiful Domino, I’m Abby.” I said a little bit nervous. “You’re a beauty, I’m just a old stallion.” Domino replied “I’m at a really old age, don’t fall in love with me” I was shocked, a stallion that wasn’t thinking anyone would love him? “To late my hero, I’ve already fell in love with you” I tried to help him to some good thoughts. “You don’t want me, I’m just a few day away from the endless fields” Domino said, still calm. “I want you, you’re the most beautifully stallion I’ve ever met” I said, my voice was overloaded with love. “Do you really want me?” Domino asked, he looked a bit shocked. “I want you to.” Was my small answer, that ment more then what I’ve said in my whole life. “Okay darling, I love you” Domino said, this time his voice was loaded with love. Day flew by, weeks galloped away and the month was almost over. Then it was the the day, the day where everything happend. I was standing in the paddock, Cas would come by me. But, then Domino walked by. I thought they may be would put him in a empty paddock, so why won’t I hide? When I was hidden, they just put Domino in my paddock. In my paddock! And what he did. I can’t describe, but it was beautiful. I’m going to have my first child! From Domino, the most beautiful stallion ever! Months flew by, my belly kept getting bigger and bigger. I got to the vet one time, my owner was crying and the vets where saying something. After more months, Domino was breathing really heavily. He said he couldn’t be very long with me, just a little time. And then the day came, the last day. A few days before the friendly young child was crying by him, she got a bit of his tail. Domino was led into the trailer, he whinnied one thing to me before the trailer drove away. “I will always protect you and our child, no matter what happens to me.” Then I’ve never seen him again, but I can’t believe he isn’t on this world anymore. Just not. After a few months the foal is born, she’s beautiful and named Pepper. She was the one who cured the pain of losing Domino a bit, and again months flew by. No sign of Domino. I heard my owner talking about moving to somewhere else, That was the next shock. Leaving where I saw Domino the last? No. That night I was so sad that I didn’t sleep at all, Pepper was laying in the hay so I couldn’t eat. Then I was with him, Domino. He led me and Pepper to the fields, standing in the grass I realized he must be gone. I cried, and cried, and cried. Domino cried with me, and told me how much he missed me. He told me about his real last day, about standing by his old home. About meeting people who he haven’t seen for years, about saying goodbye. About everything, his last words where. “Goodbye darling, I can’t come many more times. But I will be waiting for you.” Then we stood there, crying our noses thouching each other. Pepper walked behind us, and Domino saw her for the first time. Then he led us to the stable, where he repeated his words. “Goodbye darling, I’ll be waiting for you.”
About the piece: This piece shows the love between Abby and Domino, and how much they mis each other. Domino had a sort of asthma, he always coughed and was breathing heavily. Sadly he’s not with me anymore, the asthma became so heavy that we must say goodbye to him. He was a beautiful stallion and proud father of the foal pepper, Pepper is officially a accident. Domino and Abby managed to have a foal secretly, they where just in love with each other. They kept looking at each other, for hours… Pepper is hidden behind Abby, Abby is the one with the more wonky blaze. I tried to make the love and pain of missing so clear as possible, I think the piece tells the story itself.
