Instructions

As me and Avery walked to the Quidditch field, she blocked fans from getting to me. She scowled. " Seriously?! These people need to take a chill pill!" She said rolling her eyes. I could tell she was a bit irritated by all of the attention. I wondered if I got annoyed by it. I'm not super mad about it right now, but I guess it could get annoying to have a mob following you everywhere you go. To be honest, I kind of want them all to forget about me being a fire goddess. Soon enough someone is going to question me, and they will realize that I lost my memory. I really hope it is NOT Juliette. I guess I was lost in thought, because Avery was holding a broom in front of me, talking. "... ok. But it's really not that hard once you get used to it!" She said as she handed me the broom. I didn't know what to do with it. I started sweeping the floor and she shook her head. " No, you sit on it and fly." She said positioning me so I sat on the broom upwards, so it would fly. " Avery, I'm not so sure about this..." I timidly said. " Oh, you'll do fine!" She said waving her hand like it's as easy as walking. " Today, we're just learning how to stay on the broom, quidditch is tomorrow!" She said happily. She took a step back and the broom started to shake. Then, I shot up into the air like a bullet. I screamed as I ascended. The broom stopped and I looked down. I shrieked as I hugged my broom. " NOPE! I do not like this!" I cried. " YOU'RE DOING FINE!" Avery hollered from the ground cupping her hands around her mouth. She was just a little speck on the ground, but I could tell she was giving me a thumbs up. I closed my eyes and gave myself a pep talk. " Ok! If you can do it with your memory, you can do it without!" I slowly put my hands on the front of the broom. I took a deep breath, then started flying- or- flipping over. I was flying upside down! I flipped back up and glided through the air. I never wanted to land. It felt so magical, being high up in the sky. I was no longer earthbound. My hair was flying everywhere, but I didn't care. Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and everything was glowing! My hair looked like it was on fire along with my robe, now a dress. The broom was glowing red. I didn't know what was happening, but the broom started flying off, without me! I was falling so fast I couldn't even open my eyes. I heard someone shout, and then I stopped falling, my nose two inches from the ground. I turned my head and saw Avery pointing her wand at me. I fell onto the soft grass, as she ran towards me. My dress disappeared and every other fiery thing that had appeared on me in the sky. " Are you ok?! " She asked shaking my shoulders. I nodded. She let go of my shoulders. " How did you do that?!" I asked. " Wingardium Leviosa!" She said proudly. " A classic levitation spell!" She glanced at her watch. " Oh no! We're late!" She took my hand, and we ran into the building.
