Edit: CORAL EXISTS NOW I need to finish Coral's and King's ref sheets -v- First year of doodle duel :> All of these idiots are pirates (except for Pearl) Do's and Don'ts DO -Draw them being stupid (they dont have to be serious) -You can simplify them a bit if needed just dont take away defining features (like Torn's eyepatch, Finn's scars, etc.) -You can draw the canon ships (Like Coral and Thatch if i make Coral's ref sheet) -Ask for ideas if you're drawing them stupid lol stuff like that DON'T -Make them animals -Oversimplify them -Ship them with random characters -Genderswap stuff like that Quick backstories for each character rn Coral Need her ref sheet first Thatch he/him he is the firstmate and enforcer of the Azure Flag. He came from one of the towns outside of the northern kingdom. The north is harsh, and so is he. He learned to bury his emotions and is used to being used as a weapon. Coral, though, shows him that it's not a weakness to show emotions. Reef he/him A new hire on the Azure Flag. Annoyingly good at his job. He's a trenchblood siren trying to start a new life. He means no harm..right? He tries very hard to not go in his siren form, he knows if he does the Maw's call will be stronger. Mina helps him not answer to it. King need ref sheet -v- Finn they/them the scout/lookout of the Azure Flag. A bird lad who lost their wings in a brutal siren attack. They're always up in the crow's nest drawing or talking to the sea. They for some reason always teach people a rock game that they INSIST have rules (it doesnt, they made it up.) Captain Torn he/him Captain of the Scarred Curse. The only human to be a siren hunter/captain and still be alive. He's facisnated with sirens but hate them. Hence why he does research (and..mayybeee live experiments with em). He cares about his crew though. Notes: he's not treated well because he's a human. and he cares about his crew A LOT. Which is why they call him dad. Pearl she/her Trenchblood siren. Follower of The Maw. She collects souls for The Maw, picking easy or powerful targets. She knows what she's doing. Reef and her have a sibling/hate relationship with eachother. Mina she/her Quartermaster/medic of the Azure Flag. Grew up in the east with her two brothers. Had to learn how to take care of others so she and her brothers didnt die. She doesn't tolerate people being idiots. (yet she still fell for Reef-) She's usually in the infirmary or on the main deck.
