She looked up at me, her eyes serious. “Anjulie. I have to tell you something. Something serious.” I looked back up at her. “What is it..?” Grandmother sighed and looked at me. “We’ve found an unfamiliar object near Kakariko. Something was written on it, in some foreign language. We don’t know what it is, but your mother recognized it somehow. I have a feeling this might be a threat to you, or potentially her.” My eyes softened. “What.?” She sighed. “I know this is hard to take in, but it’s serious. The object can’t be worn by your average hylian or sheikah. The size shows us that. It belongs to something.. Someone different. Perhaps a zonai from the past?” I looked down. “From the past? Didn’t all of them pass away except..?” Impa looked up. “Rauru and Mineru? Yes. That’s what we thought. But it seems to not be the case.” I sighed. “That barely makes sense. Why would that be?” Grandmother looked up at me. “We don’t have any evidence to support it, but I believe this zonai turned.” I looked at her. “What do you mean?” Grandmother sighed. “I believe they changed sides.” “Oh.” She looked at me. “I don’t mean to scare you, do you understand that?” I nodded. “Yes, m’am.” She smiled softly. “Good. I just want to warn you. Dismissed.” I left the house, noticing Mixo playing with Kieta, my youngest brother. I headed down the stairs, until I heard something whispering. I felt as if I was being grabbed by my shoulders, and heard a chilling voice. “I don’t want to be here! LET ME OUT! PLEASE!” I stopped in my tracks, genuinely confused. Mixo looked up at me. “Anjulie? Are you alright?” I nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine.” I skipped the last few stairs and ruffled Kieta’s hair. “Hey..!” He muttered, with a slight giggle. Mixo chuckled softly and looked at me. “So what did Lady Impa tell you?” I shrugged. “Honestly? I don’t understand any of this.” She smiled softly. “No one does, but that’s just how this world works, isn’t it?” I sighed. “I’d assume so.” Kieta looked up at the two of us, then blinked. “Whatever grandmother is telling the two of you.. It’s dark.” I laughed. “Yeah, right..” Kieta looked up. “I can’t wait to head to Lookout Landing..” Mixo laughed softly. “Me neither, Kieta.” =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- continued down below chat- v
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- You could say the rest of the day had gone by pretty quickly. I turned to Mixo. Mother approached the two of us, and gently patted my head. “Ready to head over?” I nodded. “Yes, we are.” She smiled. “It felt just like yesterday that the two of you just met for the first time..” Mixo laughed softly. “I guess you’re right, Lady Hylie.” Mother smiled. “Unfortunately, my years say more than they shall.” She said, laughing to herself. Mixo smiled softly. “Don’t say that!” Mother sighed softly and picked up Kieta. “I don’t want to, but here I am..” I smiled softly, and ruffled Kieta’s hair again. “I mean.. You know that day was never your fault.” Her face fell a little. “... Thank you. That means a lot.” She had a soft smile. “Well then, you guys should get going. I unfortunately can’t come, but I’ll probably watch from the ruins.” I sighed. “It’d be more fun with you mother, remember those days..” She smiled. “Those days are something I’ll never forget..” =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Kieta clung to my side as we approached Lookout Landing. It had been slightly decorated, but nothing much, just the usual. Mixo headed inside, looking up. “The sky’s dark. The dragons should be here soon, shouldn’t they?” I nodded. “They should. It shouldn’t be long until they arrive..” I mumbled. Kieta looked up, his blue eyes shining in the light. “I can’t wait.” I laughed softly. “Me neither, Kieta.” He looked at me. “Yeah..” The ground shook a little, and he stumbled over. “I can’t be imagining things, right?” Mixo murmured. “The ground is shaking..? Why.?” I mumbled. Mixo looked up. “Weird.” Kieta clung to me a little tighter. “Hey.. it’s okay.” I said, trying to reassure him. “I’m an 8 year old who has severe anxiety like dad. Of course it’s not okay.” Mixo laughed. “That’s not helping your case much, is it?” Kieta rolled his eyes. “It does, actually.” “Uh- erm- actually-” Mixo and I laughed. He did a pouty expression, but ignored it overall. We headed to Purah’s lab, and I swiftly knocked on the door. Purah’s pupil, Josha, opened the door. “Oh- hello.” She was still short, and her eyes were just a little duller. “Hey, Josha.” She smiled a little. “Anjulie! Mixo-! Come on in.” We walked in, and she quickly cleared her desk. It had several plans and notes about something. “You guys just hanging out here until the dragon ceremony?” I nodded. “Yes, if you’re okay with it- that is.” She smiled. “Of course! Mrs. Purah is working upstairs, so I don’t see a problem.” I smiled. “Thanks..” Kieta sat down on her chair and started looking at the several things she’d tacked onto the board. “You tacked in blue.” He muttered. “Sorry?” “You only use blue when.. When you find something major. What is that?” She walked ahead, and took the picture off of the board. “Some sort of relic. I can’t decipher any of the text on it, but Lady Hylie can.” Kieta sighed. “Oh.” Josha laughed softly. “I know it’s confusing. We’re trying to figure out what the text on it says, but we believe it’s some sort of warning.” Mixo tilted her head. “Warning of what, specifically?” Josha sighed. “I still have yet to figure that out.. Sorry about that..” Kieta looked at the picture she was holding, his eyes showing hints of concern. Mixo looked up at the sky. “It’s night now. The dragons should be here.. Shouldn’t they?” Kieta blinked, and got up, walking to the window. He pressed his face against it, then stared into the sky. “W-why are they not here.?” I walked over to him, put a hand on his head and looked out myself. They weren’t there. Just 3 beams of light rising from each of the goddess springs? Mixo walked to us, and Josha went up to look through the telescope. “You’re right.” Mixo said, confused. “They should be. They have to be.” I sighed. “Something’s wrong. I know it.” =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- *ᴅʀᴀᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ sɪɢʜ* ᴏʜ ᴍʏ ɢᴏᴅ ᴡᴇ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ ɪᴛ!!! :ᴅ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 2 ʜᴀs ᴏғғɪᴄɪᴀʟʟʏ ʙᴇᴇɴ ʀᴇʟᴇᴀsᴇᴅ, ᴀɴᴅ ʏᴏᴜ’ᴠᴇ ᴏғғɪᴄɪᴀʟʟʏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪᴛ- (ʟᴍᴀᴏ) just look below for some changes to Hylie- :D Hylie: Hylie is my first ever Zelda OC. She was originally supposed to be Rauru and Sonia's biological daughter, but I found that I liked the idea of being related to them by blood (niece) much more interesting, as Rauru possibly wouldv'e been a bit more harsh with her then he would've been if she were his own daughter. Sonia's take on her is just the same. :)) Hylie actually trapped herself in a time warp, which means she can't die of age- but is technically actually in her 30s to 40s- so it's not weird halp- and then had children with Ziu. and also can someone explain why this chapter was written like a million times better then chapter 1- help it's barely been a year-========================================== praying this was worth the wait- *dies in took her like a whole week to draw Josha* Announcements down in comments!
