Persephone shrugs her shoulders when I've finished talking and says she has to go meet with a teacher (I have no idea why, probably private lessons or something) Luna stays by my side and waits until Persephone is out of the room before she starts talking. "Raven, I heard a rumor, and it HAS to be true, well at least I hope it is." I look at Luna quizzically, she's not usually one for rumors. "And the rumor is?" I ask. "It's that there will be Halloween Dance! A masquerade! Aren't you so excited? Oh! And one more thing, will you go to the dance with me?" "Luna, you don't even have to ask!" I squeal, hugging her. "But then again, what if this rumor is only that, a rumor?" Before Luna could answer, Nearly Headless Nick (Sir Nicholas, if you don't mind) swooped in and gave us two letters that read 'Come to the Halloween dance in the great hall on October 31st.' "Dumbledore asked that I give these to all students." Sir Nicholas said, already floating out of the room. "So it IS true!" Luna said, playfully nudging me with her shoulder. "I'm so excited!" "Me too!" I shriek. We dance all around the library and then we hear some sniggering. Luna and I whip around and see Lavender's gossip group. And they're SPYING on us. "AWWW!" Yells Lavender. "Look guys it's the couple of the year, LAVEN!" Luna and I blush, we promise to show each other our dresses on the night of the dance, so it's a surprise. We then quickly part ways before Lavender says anything else. But not before I catch a glimpse of Daphne sitting in the gossip group, she mouths the word 'sorry' to me, but I avert my eyes and dash out of the room. on the night the dance, Luna and I meet each other in the library to show off our dresses, mine is dark green with a black lacy mask, and I'm (not so) shocked to find Luna's outfit is designed to look like a peacock. "Wow. You look great." Luna and I say at the same time when we see each other. Then we crack up about how we said the same thing at the same time. "Shall we?" I ask. Luna grabs my hand and we descend the stairs and we enter the magical wonderland that the professors created in the great hall.
