--> Intro <-- ↪ You've probably heard of a brain before, but have you ever wondered what goes on in there? Who really makes the decisions? I present to you... the Council of Neurons! --> Instructions <-- ↪ Click the green flag and draw any number 0 - 9 anywhere in the box. When you're satisfied, press "ready". The program will analyze your drawing, then display the Council of Neurons. Watch them as they debate over what your number might be, then see their final prediction at the end! NOTE: This AI model is far from perfect. It makes mistakes frequently! Based on the most recent test, the model has a ~92% accuracy rate. --> How it Was Made <-- ↪ This project uses a type of AI called a neural network. The network has multiple layers, and each layer has multiple neurons. Each of these neurons do different calculations, and together they form a prediction. In this case, they try to recognize what number the user draws (see inside for in-depth explanation). --> Tips for Accuracy <-- ✦ Draw your number big! ✦ If one number isn't working for you, draw a different one. ✦ The AI isn't very good at recognizing 7s. ✦ There's no need to worry about drawing your digit in the middle - the program automatically centers it before analyzing. :) --> Credits <-- ✦ Model trained and tested in Python on the MNIST dataset. No special libraries / packages, just Numpy. ✦ Uses a sped-up sound effect from Pixabay. ✦ Code by me. ✦ Art by me. Look closely and you'll see that one particular member of the council likes to wear a bowtie...
