The Timeless Star originally took a form similar to a regular universe, with filaments and voids, yet no planets, no stars, no galaxies. It wasn't supposed to be mere stardust, it was a glitch. The early inhabitants of this layer realized this after it spread to some of them. They raced to prevent the spread of the glitch, and missed the real purpose of what this layer was supposed to be. Although they stopped the glitch by combining their power, their flawed belief also made them not affect the whole layer, and create a corrupted star, with a soul of void. The corrupted star would violently pull in the rest of the layer, yet warp the layer enough so nothing was truly destroyed. You would just fall into it forever, meaning the glitch would be sealed away.
