He will do almost anything to get some hugs or scratches, and when I say that, I mean he will do some random stretches or put his front legs onto the stable door. He's very stubborn, making his groundwork slightly difficult to be patient with as half the time he thinks it's a game to do the opposite thing you say. He does love it, though, as when he realizes there's not much else he can do other than listen, he does it spectacularly. In ridden work, the stubbornness still applies. He's very responsive with leg, so even the smallest tap or squeeze of the leg will speed him up. This is usually a good thing, since the quick and sharp responsiveness makes him easier to get going. He's quite headstrong, and ends up trying to take you wherever he wants to take you. This is an easy fix, if you know what you're doing. He's a prospect in showjumping as his scope is pretty amazing, although we haven't tested loads of jumping on him, as we've been focusing on balance and flatwork. While he has been jumping, he's been pretty good at it and does have a passion for it. We tried him on full flatwork, and he just doesn't enjoy it as much, and will just try and jump the trot/canter poles when he's bored.
