Chapter Four: When the two entered the gala, Link did not expect that many people to be there. He just assumed that it would be a small event with some important people. But no, he should have known. The 'entire' kingdom was there. Millions of Hylians, Rito, Zoras, Gerudans, and Shiekah were there. Link didn't like this. He never liked big events. Ever. Zelda tightened her grip on his arm, as if to say, "Link, it's okay, do not bring out your sword." Link took a deep breath and plastered his smile on his face, the smile of a champion. Zelda seemed to approve. After a few hours, Link was ready for it to end. Besides, he had a bad feeling about everything. Why was that figure still in the shadows? Why was there a metal sickle hiding under his-Link dashed across the ballroom. "Link! Link! LINK COME BACK!" Zelda shouted to him, he didn't listen. (ZELDA POV) Why was Link running? What the actual Hylia could he be doing? Zelda did not have the answers. She picked up her skirt and started running after Link, her heels clacking against the floor. Suddenly, high esteemed nobles were screaming and running away. Zelda quickened her pace. "Link! What in all of Hyrule are you-" She was cut short when she arrived. A red substance[you know this one] spilled across the ground. Zelda froze in fear. She looked up from the ground and saw where it was coming from. Link. It was coming from Link. Specifically his stomach. A metal sickle was logged in his side. "Link!" She gasped in shock. (BACK TO LINK POV) The attack was almost to quick. It was aimed at his neck, but he managed to dodge it and redirect it. Everything seemed to freeze. His legs, why wouldn't they move? Why wouldn't the start running. But then, Zelda was there. And everything went into a blur. He gripped the Master Sword tighter, and the Triforce of Courage sparked. He wouldn't recall how he fought the figure, how he saved Zelda. The loss of memories brought back the pains he thought he had left behind. The more it went on, the more the doubt began to sink in. 'You can't save her' 'Nothing you do is going to make up for your failure' They gnawed at him.
