You are medieval exterminator faced with the biggest task of their life, a basement infested with giant man-eating bugs! - INSTRUCTIONS - (Read All) Actions: (Enemies move when you move or take an action.) Move - WASD or Arrow Keys Attack - Click to attack an enemy directly next to you. Bait - Space to throw a piece of bait towards your mouse-pointer that will attract the bugs and make them ignore you. (This takes a while to reload between throws.) Power-ups: Golden Sword - Temporarily gives you a big sword that frightens enemies, allows you to attack diagonally, and deals double damage! (2% chance) Golden Helmet - shields you from all damage for 20 rounds. (2% chance) Health Potion - Heals 1 hit point. (16% chance) Enemies drop 50 gold if none of the above are dropped. (80% of the time) Difficulty: Adjust the difficulty to an extreme level, or choose "MIX", which will randomize enemy colors! Different enemy colors have different health: Red - 4 hits Yellow - 3 hits Blue - 2 hits Green - 1 hit No, this isn't actually a dungeon crawler. We don't have the budget for that. - CREDITS - Based on other games with grid-based combat systems, particularly "Crypt of the Necrodancer" and "Spellsided" The health, money, wave and bait cooldown counters are modified versions of score counters from a Griffpatch tutorial. Enemy and player hit sound effects are modified versions of an 8-bit explosion sound from Pixabay, and all other sound effects are from the Scratch sound library. All other art and code is original, and the music was made by me in Jummbox. - CHANGELOG - Aug. 16, 2025 - Uploaded Aug. 17, 2025 - Golden Sword Added Aug. 18, 2025 - Golden Helmet Added Aug. 20, 2025 - Bait throw arc fixed to look more natural, updated intro.
